I did actually. Found them because I also ride motorcycles so I just searched “motorcycle cargo net” and scrolled through till I found what I needed. I don’t use em much but for $10 I figured it was worth it to have on hand when I do need it and you can just squash them into the corner of the trunk in that little cubbyhole when you don’t need them.

The smaller squares stretch to 40” and the trunk of a 4 series is about 36”x37” with the seats up. So if you need to just secure a single backpack or something they’ll do for that.

Thing is they’re not “bag” style nets like what comes with cars sometimes. So if you’re trying to secure groceries you’d probably be better off using some of those plastic Velcro dividers or a trunk caddy.

I miss:

1. Washer fluid sprayers from the cowl
2. The cargo net attached to the floor of the trunk
3. The vented sunroof cover
4. AC button
5. Compass in the mirror
6. There seemed to be an extra traction control mode, dynamic which isn't on the G20.

With that said, the G20 is a better car, no question.

I have the power rear shade in my F32. It's also handy when you have to pass one of those road hogs who does 3 mph under the speed limit in the fast lane, then speeds up and flips you off when you pass them on the right.

Push a button and the shade goes up... saying, "Buh-bye, don't care about you and your silly drama" better than a middle finger ever could.

My view is that there should be real buttons and switches for those features that one will use while driving. For all other features, go ahead and put the stuff in IDrive and I don't care if I have to go through sub menus to get there...I don't have to take my eyes off the road to do that.

My G30 is pretty terrific in that regard. I have the switches for the AC, the seats, and the volume on the radio. It would be nice to have the station switch also but the availability of the presets combined with the display of the presets on the HUD make that unnecessary. And, of course, the BMW programmable buttons.

I suspect that BMW saved $1.25 by eliminating the AC switch. But that $1.25 might cost them a customer. Short sighted thinking.
The interior of the G30 is light years away of the G20 after spending a few days with a Mexican made 330i.

To me going from a G30 to a G20 is a serious downgrade in the interior.

I can't get with the tiny HVAC buttons on the G20.

Just FYI- The Mexican made 330i's interior is identical to a German made 330i.

I second some items I've seen like the power adapter in the glove compartment (I hate using the one between the cup holders) as well as the A/C button.

Nobody has mentioned the blue/red temp wheel though. I used that all the time for minor instant temp adjustments. I know it exists in the climate menu, but it was nice always having the wheel. Been used ot that since my first 2004 325i.

Likewise. Had it ever since my 99 e46. Have always missed it in my wife's cars and now I have to go through a menu to change it.

I typically leave the main temp setting alone and on auto. This dial I use all the time depending on whether I want a bit more cool air to the face.

You can set a shortcut thankfully but still fiddly.

I like the old stalk too, have been using it for 10 years since E90. The advantage is when you want to turn it off, you won't over do it by pushing to the other direction and makes both sides signal blinked. To turn off the normal one you might over push it.
I feel sorry it had to go for G20, I guess most people can't get used to it and blame the ingenious design instead.

Is there anyone found the numeric button relocation inconvenient? I use them a lot for preset radio stations and speed dial. They are now located on a lower row than on the top in F30, I have to take my eyes off the road to push the buttons.

How about the missing storage under the trunk? It is now occupied by the battery, I use them to store my not so frequently use items.

I beg to differ. I almost always push it to the opposite side in our F25 X3. Which makes me hate the car even more so. I’m just glad the G20 has it like every other car

I really miss the real, round, old school circular gauges. Hate the new screen. It is my only gripe about the car.

Should have left the thumb wheel hot/cold for the vents. They took it away once before, brought it back, and now took it away again.

Turn the AC on and leave it on forever. In the summer it cools, in the winter it will keep your windows from fogging and keeps the humidity in the cabin in check.

They did change it in the G20. Thank God! Frikkin hate it in my X3 and I thought I was the only one ending up signaling the other direction trying to turn the damn indicator off. No wonder BMW drivers are known for not using it
That's funny I noticed I end up signaling the other direction when turning off the signal in the G20 and yes I like the old one where it returns to the same position though I know the later F30s don't do this. Still those are better than the G20. Also noticed that the m340 has less standard equipment than the 340 such as HK audio being no longer standard even though they hiked up the msrp almost $10k from the sub $50k price tag of a couple years ago. (Though dealers are offering discounts so it's about the same price). No cargo net at all or under trunk storage either.

The ability to fully turn the car off with people in the vehicle by pressing the ignition button twice.

Absolutely. The improved interior is one of the major reasons I went to a 5 series even though I prefer a smaller car.

But I can only think of one reason that the poster pointed out the interior of the car was one made in Mexico................

I cannot think of any reason how one can identify a car as made in Mx just looking at the interiors.

Although being a G30 owner I also miss having a compass in the mirror - did they do away with that or did the 5 series never have one? Is there another way to get compass direction in the car?

The correct way to turn off the signal is pushing the stalk on the same side as you initiated it, e.g. To turn off left signal, you push it down one more time, but many people didn't know it and push it to the opposite side direction and get the right signal on, then they get very confused.

I'm embarrassed, I didn't know this.. I usually push the stalk in the opposite direction to cancel it but you learn something new..

I like the old style turn signal operation, it felt very European-car like and elegant, which was also convenient when quickly switching lanes. The new design is the same stalk as a Ford E-350 rape van, common and not unique..

I guess to each is own...
