Seeking 2020/21 BMW M340i Price Negotiation Advice
Hi Guys,
I'm new to BMW and have had a couple of family members with old 3-series models and always really liked the cars. I'm in a position to potentially get a used BMW and really like the M340i. Currently going to a few different dealerships around NY and am trying to get a good idea of how to negotiate pricing. I've tried looking at auction sites for 2020/21 models and can't really find a good reference range to get an idea of how much dealerships are getting these cars for at auction. Just want to know if anyone is aware of what they're currently going for at auction so I can better understand dealership markups for the M340. Most of the advertised prices here in NY for 2020 models are in low/mid 30k range with 35-50k miles on them. Any help is greatly appreciated! |

Be careful as there are a lot of M340's that have been abused. If you are buying from an auction its there for a reason. PreCert at a BMW dealer would be a better way to go.

Personally, I would stay away from auctions. Most cars dealers do not to sell on their lot will end up there, and usually for a good reason. Stick to dealers if warranty is a main concern.

You won't find a used 2020 M340ix with 35 - 50K miles in the MA/ NH area for low to mid-30's, at least not at a BMW dealer. High 30's to low 40's is more like it. A non-x drive would be a couple of grand cheaper.
CarGuru's is a good search engine to check and will give you a good idea of prevailing asking prices in your area. |
