Hate that story! My dealer told me he had a contact at the port who he'd email and try to get on the truck ASAP. At port on 10/27, dealer has said 10/30-11/5 delivery

Somehow got all the way from Entering Assembly Line to AWAITING CARRIER ASSIGNMENT today?!

My car has now been at the port for 10 days. Genius says it's been processed, so that's progress. Hard to believe they can't find a truck yet.

That being said, when I relayed to my sales rep what Genius said, he literally called me on the phone and said he didn't know what Genius was.

Sales reps are generally clueless. My M340i arrived at the Galveston, TX port on Monday (10/25) and she claimed it will arrive at the dealership on Monday (10/28). I find it hard to believe since the status on website is showing At The Port. Realistically, it will arrive the week of November 4-8 if not later.

BMW has flagged your car (as promised!).

Please expect to take delivery by 10/31.

I have a relationship with the sales manager. I've been buying cars from him since the 90's. That's who sent the email, not the salesman who's a good guy btw, but they pay attention to different things IMO

I'm only recently "at the port" but I called today. Genius said about 7 days before it'll move to the next phase, but that's not a solid time frame (could be more or less). It might be on a ship already, I've read in other threads there's usually 2 days of being on ship before the system updates.


But once it does, they'll be able to tell you what ship it's on
