Just curious — for anyone who got a ‘25, is the key fob the same as in previous years, or did BMW update it?

For the 3 Series it stays the same as the previous years. Can't speak for the other models though.

The key fob for my 2022 M340i (and previous years) were heavier with some metal parts. I think they moved to an all plastic fob starting with the '23.

only the new generations received the latest key fob. the 2025 3 and 4 is still previous gen,

only thing i heard is it is slightly lighter as it is all plastic

Sightly lighter (which I think is better) 0 components cost less and weigh less every year!
