Yeah heard they are much more complaint on the '25 compared to previous gen builds like mine. Congrats.

Non-negotiable is right!!! This car should not be street legal without the Adaptive Suspension anywhere where the roads are less than perfect.

Adaptive suspension is mandatory especially where I live. DFW has some of the worst street roads especially in Plano/Carrolton area. They don't care about maintaining concrete slabs here and potholes are a nightmare. I did a test drive with non-adaptive suspension and I could feel every single bump.

100% the Adaptive is a must have requirement. Not an expensive option. The ride is brutal without it most anywhere around the NY NJ CT tri- state area.

It should be included with the car from the factory. It comes standard on the new I4 50. Why not the M340???

Because BMW wants you to pay for every single option. For example, you can easily turn M3 comp 85k price tag to 110k by going fully loaded.

You do not need DRL to navigate so it is not a safety issue for the driver.

If it is dark enough for the headlights to be on, it would be dangerous to turn off a headlight. Especially the one lighting up the direction you are turning.

The answer I got was to see the turn signal better warning other drivers you are turning

I think you missed my point- from the outside it looks weird when a drl is off- like when you see one.

I understood the question, maybe my answer wasn't clear.

It is beccoming more common for manufacturers to turn off the DRL when a turn signal is used. This is for better visbilty for the other drivers.

Oh okay. The new GEN x5 lci and new x3 are now “pulse” turn signals.

Good to know. But this thread is really about the Adaptive M Suspension.

I used to think that Adaptive M Suspension was absolutely mandatory. However, installing DWS06 tires made a tremendous difference in ride quality. I don't care about Adaptive M Suspension anymore.

Conti DWS06 tires are definitely a more conformable ride, compared to most others, but maybe a bit of tradeoff in terms of handling, performance. Still, the DWS06 is a great tire, I had them before and they perform well, especially in light snow!

But for me personally, the Adaptive M completely transforms the car into a decently comfortable ride over rough roads, worlds better than the standard sport suspension on the 340.. Nothing really helps with larger pot holes.

I am sure there is a big difference. However, with the run flats the ride was unbearable. I got to a place where I can live with the sport suspension with the simple change of tires.

Look at the fender reflectors in front of your front tires. They aren't hard to find. They are very big and very orange. Now look (carefully) at the same location on my fenders.

European G26's don't have the reflectors. This restores the factory appearance the designers intended. The best ones come from IND:

The badges came in. Looking for placement tips...

I have the adaptive suspension but curious how stiff the suspension would be without. What's the best way to test this out?

Test drive a car that doesn't have it.

Adaptive suspension is one of the few options I omitted when I ordered my 2020 M340i. I had it equipped with 18in non run flats. It's been from Utah to New York; Wisc. to New Orleans, and I'm totally happy with the ride and glad I saved the money.
