Got the car back from the dealer last week, and have not had any issues since! I believe they placed a defective Amp in the car the first time around. So happy that they were able to fix it. As an audiophile, popping and dropping bass is just unacceptable, especially on a 60k+ car.

Can somebody help me understand what I need to do to fix these issues? I just purchased a 20' M340i and I have bass cut outs, popping in the speakers, and sometimes the audio just "flattens" out for maybe 5 seconds before returning. I've also experienced some crackling at higher volumes but I'm unsure if that's related. These issues don't happen super often which seems to be the case for most, but I'm confused on what needs to be replaced. The RAM? The booster? I just got a quote from the dealer that put the booster replacement cost at $3k so I'd like to do it myself if I can as it's out of warranty.

Another option I was considering was upgrading to the alpha one amp + speakers.. can anybody speak on if that's a route to fix this as well?

So I also face the bass sometimes dropping out on my H/K audio system.

I am about to buy a new or used booster amp (My current one is model 65-12-5-A20-7E7,, but I can see here that the replaced model is now 65-12-5-A5C-A89.

Does anyone here know if this is a plug and play swap, or if any coding needs to be done? I have esys and bimmerutility, but need some pointers.

Hopefully one of you clever guys can shine some light.
