Great service Sewell BMW of Plano, TX
Just hit 10k miles and my vehicle indicated scheduled maintenance was due. I was back in the DFW area this weekend so popped over to Sewell BMW of Plano - no appointment. Was greated by not one, but three individuals welcoming me to the dealership and asking how they could help. The service advisors were all wearing suits. I let them know that I just needed the regularly scheduled maintenance, and they asked if I would need a loaner vehicle for the afternoon (I didn't). They told me the car should be ready in about 2 hours & they would give me a call when it was finished.
About an hour later I received a video from the technician going over the full multi-point inspection showing all the components underneath the vehicle & including tire tread depth, brake pad thickness, etc. I then received a text that the vehicle was ready for pick up. This is my first BMW, so I was very surprised and impressed with this level of service. I've never received this level of service for my Corvette that cost 3x what my 330e cost, or my Jeeps (my wife's GC was $70k). I tend to perform all maintenance and work myself to avoid dealerships all together. When I went to pick up my vehicle I was greeted by even more smiling, happy people & given a few chocolates with my receipt. Overall great experience at Sewell BMW of Plano.

Thanks for posting this. Dealerships get mostly negative posts so it’s nice to hear when one is praised. I had good experience at BMW Dallas as well. FWIW

The Sewell brand is the best dealer in DFW, hands down. We've bought 4 of our new cars from their various carried lines (Lexus, Infiniti, and now BMW). Their customer service is unmatched in the world of dealers in DFW.

I can attest to Sewell. I had an object fly through my windshield on the interstate. I immediately pulled over and when i was done calling the police and insurance; I looked for the nearest bmw dealership…
I was just 2 miles away. They took me right in, were in disbelief and immediately took care of me. They were going to make sure i had a vehicle and a way home whether i used them for repairs or not. They worked with my insurance and said they would start fixing my windshield on the spot. I was shocked. Definitely made me a believer in their brand. |

I guess I neglected to provide a follow-up in this forum, but I have not used Sewell in over a year & a half. I took a wheel in because my valve stem had broken off when I attempted to check my tire pressures & the tire went flat. Obviously I couldn't drive the car, so I removed the wheel/tire and took that in.
Get a call a couple hours later saying it's going to be almost $1k repair for a new tire and new TPMS. Drive down there to find the tech destroyed my tires attempting to remove it from the wheel & also destroyed the TPMS by clamping it with pliers trying to remove it (admitted to doing so). The shop foreman comes out and says the tech didn't do it & that it was like that when I dropped it off. Wanted to charge me 200% markup on the tire & TPMS plus $75 to install the new TPMS. Said right to my face "we can & do mark up all our parts & service prices because we're Sewell, our name is on the building & we can do what we want. You don't like it don't come back". Shortly thereafter I also had them offer me $24k for my 330e stating they honored Kbb value, but kbb value said $36k. Said "when you're ready to make a deal, you know where to come". I got $36k trade in 2 months later from another dealership. F- Sewell. I take both my M2 & wife's X3MC (that I purchased elsewhere, $160k worth of vehicles) to BMW of Dallas & receive great service.

I'm going to amend my earlier post as well...While I'll still shop at Sewell dealerships for our cars and use their service departments while under warranty, it paid off for me to look elsewhere looking for an allocation for a new BMW earlier this month. Sewell simply couldn't perform in a timely manner, so, through a friend's referral, obtained an allocation and order from BMW of Dallas within 24 hours.
