Most of the changes announced are good, but not substantial. This is less of a LCI and more of a interior trim/SW options extension. I was a bit concerned that there could be something that I will regret not having on my LCI1, but fortunately other than AR navigation from OS 8.5 I do not see what I could have optioned differently. The new steering wheel is nice, but it's lacking the leather cover. Neither of the new colors is Valencia Orange or IoM Green . The crystal buttons can be added separately should you want them, the new air vent adds nothing to the aesthetics for me.

What this all actually is matching the G20 interior to the G22, so they can use the same parts in both cars and save money

Note that BMW (to the best of my knowledge) does not call this an LCI (or LCI2) in the official marketing materials, just 'the New 3' or so. LCI(2) is a term designated informally due to the interior changes in line with the 4 series LCI which usually go along with an LCI. So whether or not this is an LCI or just a model year change is more of a philosophical question.

But the fact that the 3 series got its own press release and its changes were not lumped together with the other MY25 changes suggests BMW considers it more of an LCI than not.

On the UK configurator they have downgraded the specs for most models, we only get 18" wheels as standard too! Also have to pay extra for Hi-Fi system, leather seats, acoustic glass and a few other things that were previously standard equipment

Ordered my M340i Touring a couple of weeks ago (fully loaded), expecting delivery in July. Was initially gutted on hearing that there was a model update, especially to be missing out on iDrive8.5, but looking into it I'm feeling happy that I ordered when I did rather than wait.

I got a pretty good discount, and with the list price and options now seeming more expensive, its a pretty significant saving over the incoming model for what is essentially the same car. None of the updates warrant the price increase.

Sure, my new car is an "old" model but I'm sure I'll manage to suck that up once I'm behind the wheel..

There's a conflict between the European and U.S. press releases regarding the MHEV in the 330i. In the U.S. press release it says this model has mild-hybrid 48V technology, yet there's no mention of it in the European press release, or the country specific BMW websites.

I'm confused.

Just cancelled my "Ready to Ship" 24 340i XDrive order and waiting to place new order for updated one once configurator is available. I was thinking about it and although I will have to pay more for 25 model, and got a good discount for 24, but changes that I get warrant some price increase. Main thing for me is new engine with port injection and updated suspension. The great car will be even greater. Hopefully they will retain Skyscraper Gray color in 25. I am not that impressed with interior changes and wheels.

Same experience with Mercedes-Benz vehicles, primarily E-Class models, with cracking wheels.

New Mercedes-Benz wheels have taken a downturn in terms of styling. On the C300, C43, and C63 they include inboard rings, which hides the brake rotor/caliper hardware. These are not styling elements. Rather the rings were added for MPG efficiency. A terrible dated hub cap look across the entire line.

I've had an M340i Touring on order since January and eventually got a Week 26 build date - last week in June!
I've been waiting for the updates to be published so now have a big decision to make.
I've been through the UK configurator and compared to my order - lots of changes in the options packs. You can now select more upgrades individually but the overall cost is higher.

Big positive: UK can now specify non-RFT with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, which is great!

Suspension and engine changes sound interesting and worthwhile having.

Couldn't find the Drive Recorder on the configurator anymore.

Waiting for new finance quote...

The front end of this car is such a huge upgrade over the G80.

Garage List
The new ambient lighting is a HUGE downgrade, it sucks because I don't mind/like everything else.

Yeah not only less ambient lighting but also now the UK variant doesn't come with electric seats in the Comfort pack, now you have to add these (and heated steering wheel) separately – not sure what BMW gain from this when the LCI(1) had great option packages

I had a 2017 accord…it won’t change lanes or a few other things but it does identify pedestrians. My main point is that they provide the primary features on every vehicle….

A Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies is standard on every Accord. It comprises these features:

* Safety features:
* Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™)8
* Forward Collision Warning (FCW)9
* Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM)4

* Lane Departure Warning (LDW)10
* Driver-assistive features:
* Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow13
* Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)11
* Traffic Jam Assist11
* Traffic Sign Recognition System (TSR)58
* Auto high-beam headlights
* Driver attention monitor

Additional driver-assistive Honda Sensing features available on select trims include:

* Blind spot information system (BSI)14
* Cross traffic monitor42
* Low-speed braking control68
* Parking sensors (front and rear)

Totally agree with you. I was heading to the dealer yesterday to look at my 2024 m340i which arrived this week and reading the articles on the new refresh. I was borderline upset. That said, got a massive discount and a great rate based on trading in my 2021 which is something you won’t get on the ‘25 models just yet.

Should i hold out for the 2025 m340 or should i cop the 2024 m340.........Im really disspointed with no ambient lighting on the gearbox. It would have completed the look of this car, is any after-market support available for ambient lighting strip on the glovebox that was available on the previous LCI

I was thinking that the AMG wheels tend to look 'blocky' and heavy, but then they crack as well? BMW wheels are a lot more interesting, but I have no idea whether they are lighter or stronger. As for AMG wheels, NO THANK YOU!!

That's strange that they would not implement the engine changes in Europe, yet in America they have added Mild-hybrid to the 330i. Surely that complicates things and adds to expenses.
