LOL, I can not stay bummy with 1 pair of sneakers, man. There's a shoeboard just for Nike and Jordan shoes...about 50,000+ members too.

Back in '03-'04 when reselling shoes that were limited was really lucrative, there was a guy who unloaded his 'inventory' and bought a new 7 series with the money, heh.

Hey, I have to meet people in real life. So, spending money on clothes isn't silly especially if the style of the clothing isn't too trendy. Clothes are an investment and I try to buy quality and classic styles so they will last a long time. What's the point of a decent car if you don't have some decent clothes? Kids in Canada at schools spend on average 500 dollars a year for clothes and many of these kids don't even have jobs. Looking decent is quite important for most jobs such as anything that is work ready which is the clothes I tend to buy.

I just wanted to find out how many other people spend to get an idea if I'm spending too much.

You get what you pay for. The denim is simply better and will last you longer.
People spend $200 on a pair of jeans for the same reason you went for a new BMW. Aside from it lasting you longer

Does it matter how much people spend on the clothes? Clothing is a personal thing you buy what makes you happy. It doesn't matter how much you spend. If your trying to sound like a baller by telling the world how much you spend. You're really wasting your time because nobody gives a shit.

BS. The denim is no better, in fact, it's crap in the pricey jeans. I've seen a few guys wear old (aka last season) lucky's or 7's or diesel jeans to work in, and the tear or rip the first time. Those jeans are crap. A good pair of levis or carharts are a much more durable jean than the fashion crap. They may not look as good, but I don't give a shit - I can't get my calf into a pair of the fashion jeans.

I maybe go shopping once every 1.5 to 2 years. Maybe $500-$1500 when I do. My parents usually get me gift cards, or buy me a few shirts (casual and work) for my bday and Christmas.

Speaking of which, I need some jeans and loads of new work clothes. As well as some new dress shoes.

As far as t shirts go...I just get the ones I like from Express that are $10-20 a piece when on sale. Same with my jackets/coats, I never pay retail for anything, and wait for a sale of some sort.

I also tend to stay away from brands like Ed Hardy and such because when the trend fades out, you will not want to wear the stuff anymore.

The most I spend on is probably shoes, lol. Although I've cut down tremendously since my prime days during high school, I still have about 35-40 pairs of sneakers that I regularly wear.
You must be joking. Thats more pairs of shoes than my GF.

If I had to guess, I prob spend about $1,000 per year

I generally try and keep livestock out of my clothes all together.

I buy AnF jeans because they fit well and are super durable. Then again I haven't bought a pair of jeans in over 3 years now. I buy most of my clothes non retail (shorts/shirts from Calle Soccer, shirts from uneetee/threadless/designs by humans etc.) I have only bought 2 shirts retail in the past 2 years, and those were from da Buckle.

Oh yeah, I spend about $500 a year

true religion and rock & republic are my two fav brands of jeans but they are way to expensive to wear everyday. im always working on something or riding a dirtbike. its to expensive to ruin those jeans but when i go out thats a different story.

i spend around 2 grand a year on clothes

I used to go crazy buying $500 shoes and $200 jeans, etc but I've curbed my spending the last year.

Maybe like $600 total, this year, got a steal on a Brioni blazer and some shoes. Guess I could also factor in my trail running and tennis shoes.

I am shopping around for a nice leather coat and a wool topcoat however so that may add another $1000 or so to that sum. I had to resist buying another pair of shoes and a suit at the recent 60% off + 25% family and friends at BB recently.
