BMWPartsPros.com l M PERFORMANCE RETROFIT BRAKE KIT - RED

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
The M Performance sport brake delivers enhanced braking performance in extreme conditions with its larger, internally ventilated, perforated and grooved lightweight brake disks. It also provides a unique combination of design, package integration and interaction with control and driver assistance systems.

- The brake’s design and strength enhances performance in demanding, dynamic situations and highlights the car’s sporty credentials.

– The attractive appearance of the red-coated brake perfectly matches the design of the car and accentuates its sporty character.
– The sport brake looks particularly stylish when combined with an open rim design.

– The M Performance sport brake delivers excellent value for money compared with our competitors.

– The M Performance sport brake constitutes an upgrade of the size of the brake on the front and rear axles compared to the standard and optional brakes (with the exception that there is no upgrade of the MPA with the technical package).

– The M Performance sport brake’s quality and function have been assured to all BMW standards.

– The retrofit preserves the vehicle's warranty.

– A separate code version of the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) enables the function of safety-related stability systems and of all the driver assistance systems dependent on them.

Functionality
– The larger, internally ventilated, perforated and grooved M Performance lightweight brake disks ensure improved thermal capacity and therefore greater braking performance in extreme conditions.

- During frequent changes of fast acceleration and braking, the braking performance (good response and thermal resilience) is maintained for longer.

– The 4-piston fixed calipers on the front axle are made of aluminum with a lightweight design.

– The electronic parking brake is integrated into the 1-piston floating caliper on the rear axle.

– Thanks to it being included in the car’s development process, the M Performance sport brake fits perfectly into the package space and completes its own tuning with the control system.

This safeguards the function of safety-related DSC (dynamic
stability control) and all the driver assistance systems dependent on it.
– The DSC coding must be adapted to the M Performance Sport brake system.

*Minimum of 18" light-alloy wheels required!

It's my understanding that this setup is only for cars that came with the M Sport blue brakes from the factory?

My 330i M-sport (US-spec) wasn't optioned with the blue brakes ... so I can't upgrade to these?

Do you guys have a retrofit kit for the blue brakes??

Hello and thank you for contacting BMWPartsPros!

I have not heard anything on this brake kit not working on 330i M-Sport models with or without the blue brakes?

I will be sending you a PM to verify and double check on this for you with your VIN.

A handful of German parts websites say:

Fits for the following BMW models:

3 G20 sedan
3 G21 touring
not suitable for EfficientDynamics cars !!!
only suitable for cars with M sport brake (02NH) blue from factory !!!
only suitable for cars with recuperation system (01CE) from factory !!!

I haven't seen that mentioned on any US parts websites. I did notice that if I plug model into https://www.shopbmwusa.com/BMW-PERFORMANCE the brakes are not an option.

Thanks!

Quick question; this link shows the price as $2,600 but it looks like the same kit/part # is on your website for $2,395. What's the difference between the $2,600 and $2,395 kits?
