1 Year talking about the front, about the grill. And now I say the front is the best part of the car.

I have shit on this design but I have to say I agree. At the angle you posted it actually looks good. It needs blackout grilles for sure for the entire front end. I still don't like the headlights and the new LED design, and I still think the overhangs are too long with too much dead space behind the rear window, but .... it's not as bad as I expected, and better than previous images.

BUT.. I do not think it looks distinct anymore. The grille looks best when its overall shape is masked by shadowline and actual shadows. The rear looks VERY Japanese. Compare to the new E53 for example which looks very Euro still.

Looks big. But I guess that's expected. Any word on the weight? That was conspicuously absent on the spec sheet post.

Looks great to me. Muscular. The front grill doesn't look bad on video.

I expected that a car of this stature would please the eye from all angles, like poetry in motion. I doesn't. The F82 does (hoodline is it's only issue). Sorry, I'm horribly disappointed.

BMW must want to keep this car for themselves since they're working so diligently to make it unappealing.

Hate the looks. Should be a blast to drive. Just like the the e90 came out. And the f30. We all hated the looks compared to previous gen (OG Bimmerposter lol). It'll grow on us lol

Looks good like a mini 8 series not as sleek as its big brother the 8 but at that price range it looks good.

The only thing about the grill that bothers me is not the size of it, it is actually the black plastic behind the diamond cut parts that part is showing way to much. To much black plastics or the "raw" look of the black plastic has a tendency to overtime become "bleached" so what i am most worried about the grill is that the plastic behind the diamond cuts on the grill.

For example on my I3 the black plastic down on the bottom is reacting to washes of the car and "bleaching" overtime going from super black plastic to more white black plastic and that should be something if BMW has a chance they should address and paint it with a coat of black paint just to protect against the bleaching over time.

Correct, with the move to EVs that need less servicing, have to keep those dealers busy somehow.

Grill change is a genuine 2 person job now.

Looks decent in the video. Really gonna need to see it in person. Plates look terrible on the grill for sure. I've always thought the 3 coupe and 4 are too soft and straight on the sides. Looks amazing with the muscular flares of the M though. I'm betting the M4 will look good. For now I think my E92 M3 is much better looking.

How do you know? Etto, but I think it looks great in the pics and video, grille, number plates and all.

And when we can ACTUALLY see it in the flesh, I suspect it will look even better.

And definitely better than the pouty lipped 3 series.

EVs require less service? Internet myth
