Tilt your sunroof up and see if it does. I didn't think mines did until I left it tilted open and it's very slight but I noticed it.

Doesn't bother me tho since it's really minor.

Yes, sometimes it rattles when it is tilted up. When it is fully open it never rattles.

In my experience the wind noise is less than other cars I have had including small E90 sunroof.

I’ve not yet had a sunroof rattle, but the first thing I’ll do if I hear anything is lubricate the trim with sil-glyde before letting a dealership disassemble my roof... which is sure to never be the same again after they reassemble.

Also happening to me. At first I thought it was the headliner of it but even with the headliner open I still hear it coming from the top so it might actually be the frame around the glass, idk, but I'll have it checked when I take her in for the recall on the rear camera issue. I hope my dealer figures it out bc it is really annoying having that rattle after only 1000 miles.

Update: Mine still has the same rattle. Tried Gummipflege and silicone lube on the rubber surrounding the sunroof glass - no improvement. Dealer wants to *drop the headliner* to fix, which I refuse to allow.

Tilting the sunroof to vent, or opening part-way, makes the sound stop.

Suggestions appreciated if anyone finds a way to fix this without major car disassembly.

My sunroof does not but front and rear decks did. I've got a 330 loaner this week and its sunroof certainly does rattle. Annoying. Everything in these cars rattles.

I just picked mine up today and drove it back 7 hours and noticed the rattle immediately. It's not the headliner/console area, and I agree with the aforementioned it probably has to be the sunroof.

Yeah, I rarely fully open mine but always tilt it and it creaks like crazy. Super annoying since it's literally right above your head. First oil change, I'm gonna ask them to look at it.

The sunroof on my f34 (a massive panoramic job, why can't The do this on the G20?) made all sorts of weird cracking noises.....got it sorted under warranty (one bolt hadn't been installed correctly!) but it was a massive job involving removing the whole headliner assembly...the labour bill was over £1200.......so best advice is get it sorted within warranty!!

Mine recently started rattling. If I bang or push up on the glass it stops...temporarily.

Mine did this, dealer couldn't fix it.

I opened mine fully and closed fist hit down on the Track it clicked something into place as its dead silent now.

It had been noisy from new and got worse week over week.

2 weeks now not a peep.

Hit from above? Like from the outside?

Yea.
Fully open the glass. You'll see the track. Make a fist and hammer down worked for me, and my friend that's a tech at bmw 😂

Same mine has been going on persistently since I got it. Let us know if they can do anything. It's driving me insane, especially since none of the previous FCA cars I've driven had any remote rattles like this sunroof rattle.

I really didnt think I could be more clear, but here's a step by step I did.

Open the sunroof fully. Stick your up body through it, like a basic female in a limo. identify the noisy side.

Hit the track down closed fist like you're slamming on a table.

Worked for now 3 people including myself right side track for all of us.

Mine start to rattle recently. Sounds like something is loose around the backseat. Spent a whole morning to identify the source and found it when the sunroof is closed, and goes away if sunroof is open or tilt. Very annoying! Will ask dealer to take a look.

I've test driven 2 with sunroofs. One with drum tight. The other would not stop squeaking.

Would be interesting if this affects earlier builds more than later ones?

I’m getting mine checked out by the dealership next week so I can update in a bit. Otherwise it’s driving me nuts. It’s crazy to think a car this nice has such bad quality when it comes to the moonroof.
