Mine was cancelled and I think it’s because I had individual components... less common, less efficient on the line. They pool individual builds, so could get lucky but definitely higher risk of cancellations.

My dealership submitted my order on 5/20. Yesterday it reached the "production starts" status with an estimated completion of 6/17. Maybe mine just has more common options?

My estimated completion date was just updated today. It is now scheduled for June 3rd.

Order placed March 17th.
Scheduled for production March 19th.
Production begins and VIN assigned March 20th.

330i being built in Mexico. I guess this means the Mexico plant has reopened or is scheduled to reopen any day now.

Mine was the M340i xdrive with individual paint, individual Merino leather and Track package... so not shocked it was cancelled but still think it had more to do with my dealer not having any allocations.

It's Mineral grey Metallic Exterior - Black Vernasca leather with Oyster contrast stitching, and aluminum mesh inlays

It was in production begins that long?! Oh wow. Guess I shouldn’t be so excited about mine reaching production begins status then. Sounds like they’re backlog is quite significant

Yes, it went into production begins status and I had the VIN# 3 days after I placed the order. Then the factories closed.

My M340i has also changed to "Production Begins"! That was a super long wait, its nice to see that something has changed. I was staring at the "Scheduled for Production" since February.

Awesome!!! Which factory is it being built at? (If the VIN starts with a 3 it’s the factory in Mexico. If it starts with a W it’s the factory in Germany).

Should be Mexico. All M340i production was moved to Mexico during the shutdowns.

Agree, I've heard multiple times that all production was moved to Mexico including from my CA. Very cool to see a W VIN still coming out.

Yeah my order was originally a euro delivery order which got cancelled. I'm assuming that's the reason it's still being made in Germany. So my case is definitely an outlier.

Interesting. My car was originally scheduled for a Germany build, but I've heard it's been transferred to Mexico. Will update when I get a VIN on actual build location.

I thought my build's supposed to get cancelled according what was told by my dealer but it finally moved from scheduled for production to production 3 days ago! Vin starts with WB
