This is a X-Drive M3 Comp. Def. not a CS. I would say it's an X-Drive simply because of the ride height.

I don’t think this is the ride height of the M Xdrive models. Some other experiment is going on here requiring the X3M like suspension on this car...

Will miss the eyebrow turn signal, but this looks really cool!

The wheel gaps are huge on this one. It looks like an SUV. Also something about the tire setup looks funny. The rear is stretched while the front looks chunky vs the current M3 CS.

RIP Kobe Bryant

I think Kobe did something custom to a lambo back in the day so I get it.

Just does not make sense when their are two other M3 with sunroof option.
If I recall the story correctly, Kobe had the first automatic trans Lamborghini ever designed built for his wife, which was considered blasphemous at the time (super car with auto trans). Would I ever buy a sports car with a sunroof/vert? Nah but the performance difference between the “pure” sports car and these “blasphemous” versions is so negligible that most would never feel it.

But like you said, if you didn’t care about the cars performance and want the sunroof/vert that badly just get an M3C. Makes no sense to me but if it doesn’t cost BMW any more money to put those options into the CS you know BMW will do it to move cars blasphemous or not

Actually... the fact that the F82 had floating calipers on the rear and a *separate* drum brake for the handbrake was a little known and amazingly useful feature for the track.

You could park up with (relatively) hot brakes and not imprint the rotors with your pads.

Electric parking brake is another pointless feature I don't need/want.

More cost cutting/saving efforts by the number crunchers. Soon there will be more identical pieces across the segments than u can shake a stick at to help cut down time and money for unique parts. Pretty shitty if u ask me

Interesting to see all the cutouts that look to be for a 5-point harness ... that you probably won't be able to use safely without a roll cage.

It *would* be interesting if BMW actually considered installing mounting points for something like a Schroth Quick-fit harness, or some sort of harness-bar... just in case anybody actually wanted to take their M to a track.

I really doubt this is a CS. That's just a Comp testcar that hasnt been unwrapped since its reveal.

It could be an LCI M3. But I agree, it doesn't look like a CS

Well, if its a CS, there would be at least some exterior aero parts under the camo that would hint it off. So thats why i say, this isnt it.
LCI could be possible, you would only see it from the interior.

I thought it might be an LCI too but noticed it doesn't have the new iDrive screen(s).

...unless that is just test equipment

Good to see that it still has the regular dash, and not the i4 one
