I don't even recognize this as a BMW. Reminds me of the Alfa Romeo

Alfa Romeo is much prettier than this. I see more of a Japanese influence in the design than anything.

while the G22 looks more modern it looks less like a BMW and more like an Infiniti. Also the F32 looks leaner and sportier while the G22 looks bulkier. Overall the G22 is decent but could have been amazing with just a smaller grille and possibly more distinct lines.

Not sure about you, but I like the new "mustache" grills.

A photoshop, using 2GC's grill (which, weirdly, I think is one of the best BMW grills right now) and with Hoffmeister kink.

Looks instantly dated. I would happily take that 4 series over My ultra crappy M2.

There is a solution for everyone that does not like the new design, do not buy it, buy an M2, buy the old F30, go to a lexus or porsche. There are options.

BMW will have more customer due to this. It's a great car, looks good, will handle great.

Still not happy w choices, move up to an M5 or M8.

Lamenting a grill or how a front plate in north america will look like.

Is there no bigger problems right now in the world, especially in America.

Car is great, looks good, its a BMW will be like this and it is fantastic.

This is exactly what it should've looked like.

Looks like an M8. Hence not. Also will make the car dated soon.

Do not hate but appreciate the new direction.

It's awesome.

I thought the F32 was way too long, this thing is even longer...just no proportions to the shape IMO. Will stick with the M2.

From side and back, it looks like an Infiniti.
The front is ugly...especially if you have to out a plate on.

Please take it back and give us this with the addition of aggressive arches, fender vents, hood bump, M mirrors, lots of carbon fiber and also a comparable 2 door version.

Thanks

G22 is the biggest failure in my opinion, side profile looks like a mustang, rear is the last gen infiniti G60, and don't even need to mention the front end, I'm definitely keeping my F32.

I actually like the front but there's something with the profile that I don't like. The kink is awful in the new model.

I know. You can see shadows of it, with the bottom line being pulled way towards the front almost hiding it completely.

The G22 doesn't look bad to me. I actually am really starting to like it, but without the Kink being pronounced, it just doesn't look like a BMW to me. That, along with kidneys (or lungs in this case) is THEE BMW trademark.

That the Hofmeister kink is sacrificed to be able to angle up the lower window frame to meet the upper is one of the best parts of the design. It creates a much sleeker and leaner roofline and side profile. I’m not missing the H-kink one bit. It served well in the days with huge green houses and steeply raked pillars but is now a shackle to further the modern designs.

The bad news:
- Cartoonish grille
- No Hofmeister kink

The good news:
- Profile looks a little bit like the 8-Series

This is no longer the bmw that I grew up loving and admiring... this is just a bunch of corporate board and committees ideas plastered together. Keeping my f32 for a lot longer than I hoped, and maybe might be the last one.
