I'll post updates here!

Ordered a 2025 BMW M440i xDrive Coupe on 11/1/24

Got a production number on 11/6/24

My CA is telling me it's likely around Week 48 for production date, so hopefully that's on time!

Exterior
Arctic Race Blue metallic
19" M Dual-Spoke Bicolor 995M Wheels with Staggered Summer Tires

Interior
Mocha Vernasca Leather with contrast stitching
Carbon Fiber trim

Options
Cooling and High Performance Tire Package
Driving Assistance Professional Package
Parking Assistance Package
Premium Package
Shadowline Package
M Sport Brakes with Red Calipers
Front ventilated seats
Galvanic controls
SensaTec Dashboard
Drive Recorder

Just a note, you lose the bolsters on those mocha leather seats if you choose ventilated. See my pics above...

You still have time to change that option.
I've learned a ton here (I was new in August - ordered my car 8/3 and received 11/4), including that.

Also, build week is the week the car will be completed. I was build week 39 and my car was at the port in Bremerhaven on 9/25 - took 5 weeks from there

Yeah, you're right I'm aware of that. I think I'd still go for the ventilated seats though. I'm in Florida and it does get quite hot here even in November.. In my M240i I have the bolster option, but honestly in my ownership I just kind of forgot it's there. Did BMW used to have both ventilated and bolster before then?

Ah great to hear! So it should be done around week 48, maybe expecting delivery mid-January?

My 2021 540 had both and I didn't give it a second thought, but I'm with you, I'd rather have ventilated, though it would be nice to have both

It took 5 weeks from once at the dock, you could be a week less as my ship went to GA, SC and NY (I'm in MA) which took an extra week

Ceramic coating complete

I had System X installed - two techs, 7 hours yesterday. Paint, glass and wheels. $1249 all in w/6 yr warranty

Having the windows tinted next week.

Carlooks great IMO and drives like a dream. I have iconic sounds turned on until I get past 1200 miles

Tiny bit bummed heated steering wheel only has one setting. Thought I saw that it had three like the seats, but if that's the worst then all good!

Love your car! If I were to spec a GC, your color is what I would have gone with since they don't offer Arctic Race Blue! You prefer having iconic sounds turned off after the break-in? Mine's off too!

Oh that's kind of a shame. But in my 2023 M240i it's just one level of heating by a button press, but I believe with coding you can adjust a predefined temperature to heat up the wheel to. Although I'm not sure with iDrive 8.5 Secure Coding 2.0 if it's possible anymore, but you could do so in 8.0. Could you confirm if there are 3 levels of ventilation for both seats?

I would have chosen Arctic Race blue myself, but only available on the Coupe - Heat and cooling both have 3 separate temp adjustments.

One change I would have made is I probably would have got the tire and wheel package. Bigger brakes, bigger footprint and adaptive M

I bought adaptive M as a $550 option.

I would strongly suggest you have that option, whether bundled or a stand alone - car handles rough roads amazingly!!

I'm installing full body matte PPF and include ceramic coating. Also changing out to the 50 year anniversary badge all around, including floating center wheel cap and tire valve stem cap.
Swapping out the exhaust tip to M performance quad carbon fiber exhaust tips.
Swapping out to black gloss M440i trunk emblem and installing the black M performance badge on the fender, I know most people like the clean look.
Oh yeah I forgot, painted front bumper reflector

Okay im interested. This is one of the only options i was not going to add (besides the exterior carbon package).

Id love some insight on why you "regret" not optioning it. Help sell me on it 🫣🫣🫣🤪🤔

Looking to place an order this month for a spring delivery - M440I X Drive Convertible - anyone make any progress on discounts? The car market is not great and I was able to get 4K off my new GMC Canyon in May. I know BMW is usually a challenge to get any discounts.

Will not be looking at on the lot stock as my wife wants Tanzanite Blue II Metallic

Will be my 6th BMW (none in the stable right now) But have owned 330 CiC, Z3, Z4, 325 and M5 in the past - payed MSRP or close to MSRP for all of them.

Interested and appreciate any real world experiences.

I would speak to a broker on leasehackr and see what they can get and then shop around. I know at my area in nyc, they were either giving no discounts or didn’t have allotment or like 5-7% but on the my24 models or 1000 off for my25 or just no discount but thats with meeting them once and just a headache to play games with the dealers so I just went straight to leasehackr afterwards and spoke to a few brokers. The broker had an allotment but I have to go almost 3 hrs away to pick it up.

I negotiated $2500 off of my convertible order at a Boston area dealer in April. I think I could have gotten more if I had tried harder, I had already gotten nowhere with another dealer so I was taken by surprise when they agreed to deal. I started this thread so you can read about my experience starting on the first page.

How come you didn't option it in the first place? Did the package itself not interest you? Actually I initially placed an order without the package (because it didn't look that interesting without researching much into it) and just had the adaptive M suspension selected as standalone. But after reading tons of posts about the ZTK package, I've decided that it's worth optioning for what you get, had to get my CA to modify it for me

I am excited to see what adaptive M suspension has in store, coming from a car that doesn't have one! But really, it's the upgraded brakes and decent tires that got me.

I'm going to walk that comment back! I just read the option again and I don't need a second engine cooler or extra fan. Maybe if I lived in a warmer climate.

I thought it came with 20" wheels, but I see now it's 19" which is what I have. BTW, they are Pirelli's P Zero All season

https://tyre-assets.pirelli.com/stat...M_Official.pdf

I did not buy any of the expensive extra packages BMW sold including tire/wheel protection.

I had one from AAA on my last car for $1600 (60 months), but they're gone to a mostly pricing model. I refinished 5 rims in the time I had my 540 which would have been $875, so the insurance company wins AGAIN!
