with the IAW hybrid, you dont need to touch the screen. they have a dry carbon adhesive dash piece. and its a good price.

Bought a set from an alibaba supplier...it's beautiful. Not stick on, the real deal. Full replacement parts with clips.
$360 delivered. Also found some ambient center console light trim, with carbon overlay -- looks pretty good and they'll go good together once installed. Not a perfect match but it won't be painfully obvious. It doesn't have that ugly "carbon look", it actually looks like real carbon overlay. I just need to figure out how to get the long center dash trimpiece out, to replace it with the carbon one. Doesn't look easy. That's why I haven't installed yet. Haven't found any DIY videos on replacing the LCI dash trim with carbon yet.

that aftermarket chinese version is not going to be easy. You are going to have to break apart the OEM dash piece (and risk breaking it). To break it apart you will need to cut out all of the OEM plastic welds after de trimming bracket, and taking out the LED and other odds and ends. hopefully not damage the trim housing and then insert the new carbon piece (hope it fits well) and plastic weld all those tabs. There is a reason IAW sells full replacement and their hybrid kit. To the average user, they will not have the tools, skill, or desire to tear up to that level to do a trim replacement on the dash. I also first bought this kit but sent it back once I realized the cost of the tools and time required to do it properly vs just buying the hybrid kit at IAW. My OCD got the best of me (nothing wrong with stick on, I just spread out the cost) I later then upgraded to the full replacement, and IAW sent me an OEM BMW trim. If they aren't performing this at thier facility it must be a lot of work or risk breaking stuff to do it.
I still think the hybrid kit from IAW is the best bang for buck considering the dash you never touch so it just needs to look pretty and the stick on does it. However for the touch and feel areas of cupholder and shifter, i would buy full replacement or bust. if you really want the dash to be full replacement, just get the full kit. the IAW version is much better in that regard and you would be getting full support from a company in the USA and not having to look for a DIY or instructions else where. Why not ask the company you bought from for help? oh right, because its china. just my .02 but I always see people stepping over dollars to pick up pennies.
