Ironic.
They call the G20 too stiff, too sporty. Here, it was criticized based on the assumption that it won't be sporty enough.

magazines are getting weirder and weirder.
AWD tesla against RWD 330 when AWD 330 is available? 100HP difference? between cars>? why not against 340 Xi what kind of comparison is that? electric against gas cars - why? what parameters? if i have to drive to Chicago - i will see that tesla 2 days later. If i floor it and use air conditioning and blast radio - maybe in 3 days |

I haven't sat in a G20 yet, are the interior materials really as cheap as they say it feels inside?

They didn't compare the similar drivetrains or use AWD for all vehicles. From a value proposition perspective, lease rates for the Tesla are also abysmal.

I have, its mainly just the lower plastics that are cheap and scratchy. A padded knee rest would be a nice addition. The top dash and leather I would say are fine.

C class though, with its metal window switches etc, like the material quality I still think is better, but the design is a bit too overstyled |

Would love to see their opinion on the 340.

I test drove the Model 3 dual motor Performance model. I was blown away by the acceleration. I also really liked the driver assistance features. I would have bought one on the spot, but there were many other things that I did not like. I don't care for the exterior styling of the car, I think it looks plain. I hated the wheels. My wife and I both hated the interior. That big monitor is just a no for me.
I have no problem with the model of a car having batteries and charging them at night in your garage. That will not work for everyone, but for most people it should not be a problem, particularly if the range on a full charge continues to climb (this one was 300 miles). |

So f30 was criticized by journalists all its production life for having too-soft-not-sporty-enough suspension. Here comes g20 that addresses this issue, and guess what? It's being criticized for being too stiff.
I don't see a point in reading all this bullshit anymore, there's no way to tell if a car is any good except to test-drive it personally. |

The model 3 exterior design is too bland for my liking, but my biggest problem was the doors. The doors felt incredibly cheap, and apparently the sound proofing is not very good. Amazon sells kits to improve the doors and noise, which is insane to think of on a $50K+ car. I feel like Tesla does get away with a lot of quality issues thanks to its devoted fan base.

No contest. The Bentley interior is beautiful. The G70 is outdated and cheap looking.

Automotive journalism has gone waaaaaaay down hill. I think they are all cheating off one another’s homework and turning in the same paper with a different name ... “trying to be all things to all people” has been parroted by many.
It doesn’t appear that their test model has the adaptive suspension...all they say is it has the track handling package which used to include adaptive dampers but no longer does. They do not mention this fact when criticizing the ride quality “even in comfort” mode ... of course it is not going to change at all when u have the non adaptive suspension. The spec sheet doesn’t mention adaptive suspension either. The criticism about the Genesis’ turbo lag and non responsive paddle shifters alone should be enough to relegate it to last place. This would drive me crazy! I could rant on forever, but I’ll stop here |

This MT review is fair. You guys are just butt hurt because a magazine rated it behind the Tesla and Genesis. Both of which are great cars in their own way. I'm buying a G20/G80 in a year or so because I just don't care about what other people think. I buy a car because I like it. You don't need validation from MT to justify your purchase. Just enjoy your car. Most cars these days are just appliances anyway. |
