As long as they can, I'm happy. East coast winters and run flats have taught me enough lessons.

For me it’s more the potholes caused by winter. When I had RF every little hole resulted in a tire bubble. About 5 in the first year until I ditched them. Never again.

Im stuck with run-flats as there is no all season option on the wheels i want in the ordering guide, see below:

I’m in the same boat which just means buying them afterwards like I did with my F30.

The other option is to go 18” which I’m also considering.

In Belgium, according to the official list of prices, it's possible (https://www.bmw.be/content/dam/bmw/m..._Prix_BEFR.pdf)

Only for :
- 18" 780
- 18" 782

Others require runflat tires. I don't know if it's specific to Europe or not.

It seems like the strong consensus is against run-flats, but I'm curious if someone has a good argument for getting them.

For me, it's mostly city driving, with the occasional long winter trip to the mountains. In the process of deciding on RF vs. non, and 18" vs. 19" as well.

Thanks.

On a related note, does anyone know whether 18" or 19" works better in the snow (with the xDrive, no chains)?
