Smile M340i Touring at last

Finally after two and half months I have my freshly detailed M340i Touring.

The paint was in a bad way as the plastic had been removed at the port and it needed a lot of work by my detailer (paid for by the dealer). He then applied DoDo Juice Supernatural ceramic sealant and it looks great.

The interior is Individual leather and trim which I will photograph as soon as I can.

Thanks guys. It does look mean on the drive. I have only driven it back from the detailers so far but have to got on a 40 mile round trip tomorrow and Saturday so looking forward to enjoying it. I don't want to get it wet though!

It is going to take me a while to get it run in though sadly.

Looks great, you must be relieved it's now in your garage and not at the docks ;-0

Enjoy the (slow) running in process

Look amazing! First one I've seen in black. It will be hard work keeping it that clean.

Mine was also stuck at the docks throughout lockdown. I've no idea what state it got in but to be fair to the dealer it was immaculate when I got it.

Wishing you happy and safe motoring

I totally agree. I love those 795M rims. In an ideal world I would have had the current rims with winter tyres on and the 795 rims with summer tyres. I did ask if there were any tyre choice options but the answer was no. I already have a set of F10 alloys with winter tyres in the garage to get rid of so I am not allowed more yet!

The M performance kit would be briliiant. My son has some copy bits on his 140i and they look great. And my insurer seems chilled about them. This was cheaper to insure than my 4 year old 535d!!

Lovely looking car! Black really does look good when clean. I do miss a black car when just cleaned!
A front splitter lip and side blades would look good. If you need to save a few quid I would highly recommended Xenonz, great quality and I paid £275 for the lot, delivered.

Cheers Pete. I will have a look but need to get through lockdown/job issues before I am allowed to spend more on the car!!!

Does anyone know if the M-Performance rear defuser is available with a factory Towbar?

Having come to my G21 from an F31 335d, I'd say that unless you do an absolute mega-mileage the M340i Touring's your car; the diesel is without doubt very good as oil burners go but IMO it's just not as nice to sit behind as the B58 petrol!

I was just talking about those wheel on the US site just a few days ago saying I honestly believe they'll go down as one of the all time great wheel designs.

Cheaper than your 5? How the hell did that work that way

No idea! But i was very pleased indeed. 2016 535d to a 2020 M340i Touring and I was halfway through my policy and got a £6 refund! Result. Didn't help the fact I had to pay £775 extra car tax though due to WLTP regs.

I wish those wheels were available as an option especially in black.

At least that refund paid a small amount to the tax.
Black wheels are the new Black Edition, Shadowline, Night Edition addition.

A good win for the M340i Touring proving once again that a fast estate is much better than a hot SUV...
