Monroe are the OEM, they still have the BMW logo on them also. Monroe just make the shocks for BMW. Most if not all the components on the car will be made by 3rd parties and just bolted together by BMW

As already stated, all is well with your struts, nothing visually wrong, or with Monroe as an OE damper supplier.
