Hey guys, tire noob here. Same car came with 225/40/r19 on all 4 and thinking of going with 225/45/r18. M340xi 2020. would that work?
Wondering, it this worked for you? |

UPDATE:
I was able to get the wheels mounted and have been driving on it for about a week. no issues at all. Although the speedo seems slightly off but according to this (https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...h=8&offset2=35) , the speed should be negligible. maybe its just in my head |

I'm looking to replace my Michelin summer tires with all-weather (not all-season) Michelin Cross Climate 2's, however the side wall is considerbly bigger and I don't know if that will cause any problems. My SA said I should be OK drive train wise, it may just rub but I want to be 100% sure...
225 40 19 going to > 225 55 19 255 35 19 going to > 255 40 19 -OR- 225 45 19 -OR- 255 55 19 OR should I go the all-season route and get Michelin Pilot AS4? - I live in NY so not crazy snow but we are expected to get a bad winter and I dont want to hinder my ability to drive and have fun in the snow. Any help is much appreciated... |
