Yeah what you have is exactly what I want, to balance out the full extended M sport gloss black kidney grill..
They've quoted me as the only part available as 51-19-2-458-369

Is yours through a dealer or from get bmw parts

It was party of the deal during negotiation so I don't actually know.

It's just glued on though so install shouldn't be expensive.

Parts are about 250% more expansive here than getbmw, but you still need to fly them here so there's not a huge landed difference

Ahh ok, no probs at all. After coming back to BMW from Range Rover almost all of the BMW accessories are spare change by comparison.

So the story changes and the after sales manager has just quoted me $1395.00 for the spoiler fitted. I am a bit like WTF at the moment. they want $495 to paint and seal, even though its Matte black and isn't being painted and $200.00 to fit it, even though its stuck on with adhesive.

Stupid question, is it worth having ceramic coating done on alpine white? Ive never had it done because I've always owned white and assumed it was just for metallic based cars?

I've owned a solid white Golf GTI before and had it applied. It does look the part. It's extremely glossy and gives a lot of depth. I'd recommend it but not through the dealer. Do it externally.

I'm not going to ceramic coat. I never ceramic coated my lasty white car, polished it twice over two years.

i think it depends on the conditions you put it through. mines always garaged and is never really in dusty/dirty conditions.

i've put some of that off the shelf nano coat thats popular now which is fine for me.

ceramic coating money is going towards 20 inch rims.

thats crazy. how much for just the part?

put it on yourself, or if you aren't confident, a local panel beater would do it for peanuts.

within the next year or so ill do the rear valence, skirts and front lip myself ( after i've gotten some 20 inch rims )

Very nice. I managed to order mine with the black grille from the factory which came with black exhaust tips. I also ordered the mirror caps and alloys in black. I think it looks great with the Dravit Grey colour... but that's always subjective.

And it's here...

Picked this up on Saturday morning, hasn't stopped raining since I have to say, I am definitely happy with my choice of Alpine white again... decided to have the matte black m spoiler painted gloss.. really happy with the over combination.

Not so premium?

Friend purchases C200.
"Thank you for choosing MB! heres a bunch of fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, a wine carrier, 2caps, a golf umbrella, 2 key rings, an embossed leather notebook and a cookbook to go with your new car!"

*ahem* buys a G20.
"Hello! Here's a cap and an umbrella to send u on your way."

I know this is a relatively small component of the purchase but geez it screams pennypinching??
Anyone else have a similar experience

My sales consultant told me that they usually have a $300 budget for these delivery gifts. Normally he'll give some sports bags, caps and umbrellas. But I told him I don't want any of those. Instead he ordered me a rubber boot mat at my request and still gave me a golf umbrella. He also upgraded my 3 year corporate free servicing to 5 year.

Last week he messaged me to see if I wanted some free ski lift passes and lesson passes at Falls Creek (BMW being a sponsor) after I referred him someone for a X3 purchase.

So I was pretty happy.

I don't need fresh flowers 😂

Nice work!
Agree definitely can do without the flowers - just an observation of a rather gaping difference.
Aftersales good service attitude and assistance preferable to a cookbook. Cough.

It all depends on the dealership and the individual sales person. Some try harder than others to retain customers for future businesses.

One of my previous purchase was not as good. The sales consultant left the dealership in between the time I ordered the car and took delivery. The car was delivered by a different person who obviously didn't get any bonuses/commission from the sale.
