Yeah, I'm probably looking at an Audi now for next car unfortunately. That grille looks just as bad in person now that I've seen it on the road (but at least it's noticeable enough that non-car people might even be able to tell it's the new model!). Combine that with how imoossible it is to find a BMW with all the options I would now want (impossible to get luxury, tech, and sport) and even a newer F30/36 is not an option.

Why not just do a custom build to your exact specifications. Youll have the car in 2 months or so. And if you really like the car, I wouldn't let the grill stop me from buying it. Fairly inexpensive mod to change to something to you like.

The M Performance Parts counter is banking on this...

BMW Accounting: Check out this paint color, it's called Cerium Gray. We got it at a huge discount! Make it the trim color on the new car and call it unique!"

BMW: "But people love our shadowline on the m sport models"

BMW Accounting: "You should make black an option and charge more"

BMW Marketing: "Call it M Performance"

Yup it's definitely more aggressive , last photo pictures it perfectly. Imagine with paint matched reflectors , complete sex.

I've thought about it, but any new luxury car is likely to be over my threshold for cost to own/value (bought my current F30 with 1 year/8k miles for a trade-in price). Will still be able to order an F36 in Estoril Blue or Snapper Rocks Blue for now though, so it is technically still an option. I can't imagine the discount I would need to make it worthwhile would be possible though so it isn't seriously being considered.

The side profile of the f30 is so much more refined and purposeful.the f30 is less bulky and more athletic while the G20 is more bulky. saw it in the flesh and was not impressed. the interior on the other hand is the opposite of the exterior and is heads above the f30.

He is right, it’s not on the ETK right now. I will post the part number here as soon as it’s available.

I'm sorry but the black wheels look so bad. Makes me feel the car is 3yrs old and wheels just got refurb'd. Diamond cut looks so much sharper

Anybody know when we'll start seeing automotive journalists reviews of the production model and comparisons to c43 and s4?

Yes, definitely, the grille is not worth the BMW badge and glorified VW is the way to go instead...

Handles decent. It's no E90, or M3/4 if you're wondering, but for a daily it's more than enough.
Well maybe because it's not an M...

It was from being asked if I felt it had road presence during my drive. While it's not a bad looking car - it's not exactly going to be a head turner, which there's nothing wrong with.

An M5 is not a head turner, to the average consumer
