BMW Connected App Not Updating

My BMW connected app on my iPhone hasn’t updated since 28/06/2019. Anybody else got the same issue ? I’ve done the usual delete phone then add phone, etc. But no joy.

I’ve switched off CarPlay then back on which recently doesn’t seem to connect to calls as reliably as it did a couple of weeks ago. Sounds suspiciously like an app update as car firmware not been updated.

Loads of people having problems with the App and Connected Drive, there’s a couple of threads on here.
How long did it work for?

Been working fine since I got the car in April but I’m now getting speed alerts in car despite turning off the function. Booked with dealer tomorrow as interior lights keep changing to default colour despite being changed. Something has changed so will be interesting to find out what.

Just returned from dealer and they have reset car and the gps connection and applied some updates but the firmware is the same version but app is now connecting. They are as confused as me as they can’t understand why this happened, so will update if I get any further errors.

My App also stopped updating about a week ago...

Updated today as normal, so presuming Connected is back up and running! It's a joke that a company of such high standards and quality cars, can't get there technology right!!

Just added my new car to the app. Hasn't updated unfortunately.
Its asking me to turn on 3D view and vehicle tracking. Pretty sure there is no option on the car to 'turn on' remote 3D view.
Any ideas?

Yes that worked ok. It seems some data has got through which is odd. It started at 10 miles on delivery and has now changed to 200 odd but nothing else has updated including the date.
Not sure it's a G20 issue though. My wife's X1 hasn't updated since yesterday.

Tried that and made no difference unfortunately.
Has anybody got the vehicle tracking to work on their car? App and portal says tracking needs enabled in the car, and manual tells me how to do it, but the option doesn't appear on the settings list?

Does your car have the vehicle tracking option on the settings as per the manual? And of so, I assume the tracking via the app is working okay?

No, nobody’s does.
When you get in the car, a globe symbol appears at the top of the Idrive screen, this is the tracking symbol , it’s a feature of OS7, it goes off after 5 minutes.
Mine didn’t work at first, but after 2 visits to the dealers, it now works faultlessly.

I have had the vehicle tracking working since delivery apart from the glitches the other week and I dropped my car off at Manchester airport meet and greet and can see where it is parked via the app from Mexico ���� I also have the BMW dash cam as well just in case ��

It didn't work for two weeks, then started updating a few days ago. However, I can't lock, unlock or ventilate the car. It just says 'cannot establish connection'. It's pretty useless.

Just been for a 40 mile drive with the phone plugged into the usb and hey presto, everything’s updated. All working again. Very fickle.
