Thanks. I'm hoping so. So far its been great. I love these photos.

Its a good time since many of us have extra time. Looking through old family photos and slides has been a big project for me this month. Hopefully fellow Bimmerpost members will go find those precious car photos from their childhood and share.

Take care and stay safe!

I believe it's a '57 ford. I think it's the same one dad wired the door handles to an old t model coil so it would shock you if you tried to steal the car. My mom hated that, she would always grab the handle before he disarmed it and would get shocked.

Kidding aside, I have been working on a photo project since the shut in. I'm converting old slides to digital by projecting the slides in the carousel onto the white screen and taking a photo with my dslr camera of the projected image on the screen. They are coming out great. In fact, the photo at the top of this thread was taken that way.

My next project is to project Super 8 movies and make a digital video recording from my camera and, voila, digital movies of old Super 8 rolls. Let's hope it works.
I've done kind of the same thing. My dad was an amateur photographer when he was in the Air Force, I have literally thousands of 35mm slides of his. I bought a digital scanner with a slide attachment and scanned around a thousand of them into digital format. It's amazing to me the detail 35mm will capture.

Your dad had unique taste in security systems.

That spotlight in the photo is consistent with a 57 or 58 Ford. Here's one for sale on eBay.

She never failed to pull that movie out at the worst times (like if I ever brought a girlfriend by the house). Then she had it converted to VHS. Luckily that was the end of it.
LOL....me as well.

My mom has plenty of pics of me running around the yard nude. She would always try to share pics of me as a kid with girls I was dating, but forget they were in there.

I hated clothes for some reason at a certain age. From all the pics....I should have been a "naturalist"!

On the way to Prom

On the way to my 1976 senior prom in my dad’s 1974 Buick Century. It had a 350 V8 that always got rubber shifting into 2nd (auto) if you floored it. Really used to annoy my mom.

Here's an oldie of me and my dad. No car there but he had quite a few rides, including a '70 chevelle, a '69 camaro, and a plymouth pursuit. He likes finding mechanic's specials and restoring them. I still learn tons of things from him to this day.

There's me and sis in 1973 I'm guessing? I'm the bad mofo rocking the poodle sweater and the hat. I still have the car. It's a 1968 Impala convertible. The old man used it to tow our travel trailer all over the country so he ordered it with 4 piston Corvette front discs, extra tranny oil cooler, extra engine oil cooler, air conditioning, power top, TH400 and a 12 bolt posi. It has the 327.

Next pic is my boy sitting on the fender a year an a half ago when I was rebuilding the engine.

Next pic is with new paint a few years ago early morning. It's got almost 300k on it. It was my Mom's daily driver up until the mid-90's.
