Tint for my '21 M340ix (aka Stormtrooper)

So here's a shot I attempted earlier this evening to see how MW looked at night and also in conjunction with the tint. No flash used with this photo. Not bad

I've always thought MW looks good even at night time which is interesting.

At certain angles, the tint looks black at night which I like.

Looking nice now that she's all tinted! Contrast with the wheels, spoiler, and grill also works great with Mineral White.

Thanks, me too. I prefer a metallic white over a flat shade as it just has more presence to it.

Looks great! In nanny state U.K. we’re not allowed to have “properly” tinted front windows; they have to still let 70-75% light through. This results in many people choosing rear-only privacy glass which I personally think unbalances the look of the car from the side. If you can’t properly tint all the windows, I feel it’s better to have them all left with the legal tint for aesthetic reasons...

Thank you. That's unfortunate about the U.K. not permitting tint on the front windows. I agree that it's an odd look having the rears tinted but not up front. Here in the US it's strange because it depends on which State you live in. Here in Georgia it's okay to tint but for example in California it's not.

Same here in California. 88% is our limit or 70% "in conjunction with factory tint". So, basically barely anything which to me is no point. I may at some point decide to get UV coating / film but doubt it I'll probably just leave the windows all stock. While technically it's not a primary offense, ie most cops won't pull you over just for tinted windows, it DOES draw their attention just a wee bit more and I have a feeling I'll be wanting to minimize that as much as possible.

It's actually true though unfortunately. Fighting with the VA over the claim currently and have the documentation for it. Right leg / foot nerve damage and numbness / lack of feeling / deep pain that I take medication for.

I like the tint and I like mineral white (unless it's sitting next to alpine white and then it just throws off too much yellow to me)

Thanks. Really? I don't see any yellow in MW. I suppose the metallic flakes in it can give off different colors? Like I alluded to before, one neat thing about MW is it gives off a radiance even at night time. There really is no bad color for this car IMO.

totally agree it's a beautiful car and BMW offers different colors because we all see things differently. As long as it brings a smile to your face and is worthy of a look over the shoulder as you walk away it's all good

Exactly, I don't see any yellow at all. If anything, Alpine White looks more yellow vs Mineral White (see comparison below).

Yeah that's a good example there. I mean people see things differently I suppose but I've never seen anything in MW but a bright white sparkle which I really like, day or night.

Any film on the front two windows in California is illegal. Even 70%. It had to come from the factory. You can't add anything. You also have to have a front plate. I have 20% all around including front windows and never been pulled over . Also have never had a front plate in 5 years. I hate it and won't put that crap on. I've been pulled over and they didn't say anything about either lol.

Yep, same here when I lived in Cali. NFW am I destroying the looks of a beautiful car with a front plate.
