G20 Cabin Air Filter

Hey guys, anybody have a video or tutorial on how to change the cabin air filter on a G20 M340i? And also is it one or two filters? Thanks!

Thank you for asking. I would like to know too. I would like to know if it is covered under maintenance plan or not. Mine is due like yours and I personally do not want to be charged over priced money for something I can do myself. Best guess its behind the glove box.

I would assume this is covered assuming you are the original owner, as I consider it scheduled maintenance. From BMW:

My BMW is a model year 2017 or newer.
Your BMW maintenance plan is BMW Ultimate Care.

All new 2017 BMW vehicles and newer come with BMW Ultimate Care. BMW Ultimate Care consists of scheduled maintenance for the 3-year/36,000 mile (non-transferable), whichever comes first.

It's under the glove box. It seems that there is only one.

Hey, more than I got with my Audi, where I had to buy Audi Care for an extra $999 to get what BMW offers for free.

It is covered under routine maintenance. Mine was just changed at the 2 year mark.

I know it is covered under warranty, but one drive through the service department and they'll have a heart attack on the spot. Let's just say some things on the car isn't warranty complaint and I'd rather spend the 40 bucks on a filter and change it myself.

Hi. Does anyone know what is this white rubber tube at the bottom of the cabin filter? It's connected to the air filter cover. Where is it going to?
Thank you

Many thanks for a prompt response hamera. Is it going directly outside of the car or maybe it's leading to the evaporator box only and than another drain tube at the bottom drains the condensated water under the car? The reason I'm asking is I have a terrible urine like smell coming from my vents and today I disconnected and sniffed this tube and that was exactly same smell.as coming from my vents. Any chance you know if I could use the evaporator cleaning foam (wurth) spaying it into the tube (unless there is any other way of spraying it?).

These are videos of G20 cabin filter replacement, the procedures are very similar to F30's.

Thanks, but I know how to replace the filter I didn't know what was the rubber tube, and if it's possible to clean evaporator by spraying the cleaning foam into the this tube.

Does anyone know how does the heating system work? I've cleaned the evaporator with air con set to the lowest temp, and all seemed ok, but when changed temperature to 22°C the smell hit me from the air vents. I wonder where could the source of smell be and how can I possibly clean it?

Eww, that sucks. Do you live in an area with lots of mice?

No, not really. Is heater exchanger located in the same box as evaporator? I wonder if i Cleaned the evaporator by putting rhe lance to the evaporatore box, would the fluid also be able to reach the heater?
