In my experience the wheels that get damaged from potholes are the ones with runflats - the construction of runflats makes them very stiff, so they transmit all the shock of the pothole to the wheel.
A softer sidewall spreads the load of the impact across more of the tyre and also more of the wheel, reducing the potential for buckling or cracking.

Just picked up my individual yesterday - M340i Saloon fashion grey with M sports seats so will post a few pics when cleaned as had a 360 mile drive home - seats were v comfy but not sure about the leather it feels hard (maybe as new) to me but seats are sweet as..............

i was worried about the colour after ordering if im honest, when i saw it in the flesh yesterday i was over the moon and honestly relieved a little with the colour and then weirdly when it was dull and overcast a few hours driving it back south in torrential rain it looked very different, still really nice but deffo green hues in the colour standing out more. pictures deffo dont do it justice IMO and ill post a few pics (only have iphone to take them) over weekend once ive cleaned it as filthy now and see what people think....

Weirdly i don't like the black grill, and i do like the mirror caps matching the grill :-)

My M340i’s alloys are just the standard Cerium Grey but I think they have a slight bronze hue to them although not quite as much as the mirror caps do...

Now that does look nice. I've tried it on the individual visualiser but I'll be honest, it didn't look right, just didn't hit the right wow factors with me.
Although, your pics really do bring it out and tbh shows it off in different shades and it looks good. I'll be using this as a reference incase I bite the bullet for a M340i.

Thanks for the comments, to be honest i was really worried about the colour but was deffo the right choice for me when saw it in the flesh - and was chuffed to bits when collected it from John Clark BMW on Wednesday.......

Without wishing to sound pedantic, you have “M” seats, i.e. the seats fitted to full M models. M-Sport seats are fitted as standard to M-Sport models and are certainly not “v comfy”

Those seats weren't an option when I got mine sadly, but I did get that mesh trim.

Colour looks so cool and I love the rims. Lots of M340is now and some very different ones appearing, well done.

Mine is MHEV and the exhaust to me sounds great, i dont want it popping and banging as in late 40's, its deep and meaty and has a great grunt when pushing it a little so does me fine :-)
