My m440i is still awaiting to go into production. Delayed till Mid May now, ordered early Feb. Its been agonizing following this forum daily and not having your own to enjoy yet, believe me guys.
Is this available regardless of the current drive mode? In other words can I "Sprint" while driving in, say, "eco pro" ?
It was on Comfort Mode when I did that Sprint Function on the m440i cabriolet demo drive. Didn't think to try it on Eco Pro, as there were way too many other items that I had to check off on the demonstrator. Though IMHO, I don't think why it won't work in EcoPro. Perhaps current owners of G20/G22/G23 may want to chime in.

My personal opinion, but i struggle to understand why someone would buy a BMW sports sedan and then drive in eco-pro? You could have spent less money and went with a Japanese offering with higher mpg.

I see you're in Atlanta. Gas here in Los Angeles is currently $4.39 a gallon for 91. I drive eco when I'm commuting, and save the gas for my 2 hour canyon runs every week (in full sport mode). I'm also a cheap bastard. But no thanks to driving Lexus/Acura/Anything else.

Drive adaptive most of the time, sport or sport + to get the full fun factor of the car and hear the glorious sound coming form the MPE.

Not sure if eco pro setting works. I will have to test some time or maybe not. Didn't buy $60K performance car to worry about a few cents of fuel savings.

It’s just a work car and 30k miles per year x getting better mileage because I hit a button...count me in. The fun car is parked next to the 4.

The only reason I've ever used eco-pro before was to give myself a time out if I felt I was driving like a jerk.

In all my previous BMW's I could never get above 25 mpg average on the BC. With this one, I've watched my mpg climb every day and when it reached 30mpg I started using eco pro more often. I'm up to 30.5 now but when it levels off and stops climbing, I'll probably never use it again except as punishment.

I don't buy BMWs as economy cars, and I don't really care how many mpg's my cars get but seeing 30+ average is kind of a challenge to see how high I can go

This is my combo on highway, eco pro aaaall time, pushing gearbox to sport only when need power. Really fuel saver configuration.

On city drive, mustly comfort or sport individual (only steering on sport) and gearbox on normal

I only use ECO PRO if I'm in stop and go traffic or using cruise control at speed. In stop and go traffic, ECO PRO does an excellent job of conserving gas.

For reference, Premium 93 here is around $3.70/gal. Conserving gas helps to ease the pain a bit.

When I had my Tacoma, the challenge was real. That sucker gulped fuel.

I remember if I kept it around 55-60 MPH, I could eek out 25 MPG. Push it up above 70, and you're below 20 MPG. It's kind of insane how efficient this M340i is by comparison.

Man am I jealous... Eco Pro took me from LA to Vegas and back on exactly 1 tank of gas. She has my full recognition until I see gas dip under $4 again one day

I have to admit, there are perks to living over here .
However, I don't get the canyons that you have! Definitely miss that.

Sport individual 90% of time and it’s mostly city.

Everything in sport except steering which is comfort.

I’ll probably drop down to comfort more when I get bored of it. Tried eco plus once and it felt like I was driving a truck.

The roads are definitely one of the best perks of living here. So are the CHP hiding behind blind corners with their mouths watering they're generally cool car people themselves, especially the BMW bike cops. They don't ruin the fun unless you're really being reckless.

Driving around 60 MPH, I switched from Comfort to Sport. The car went from silent to having a burble. I wasn't expecting this from a straight-6. It makes the engine sounds like something special.

Still driving in Sport Mode exclusively. It's almost scary how quickly the car gets up and goes to 100mph. Not complaining but just sayin'

Gas in the Bay Area is $4.60 on average for premium and in San Francisco I've seen $5 gas. Everything here is out of control expensive.
