Adaptive mode vs. Comfort mode

Hello, I´ve got BMW 320D xdrive M sport with adaptive suspension with 19´ runflats. After few days I was little bit suprised how "rough" the car is, especially on city roads even in Comfort mode - my ex car was Audi A6 with air suspension so maybe I just need to get used to new car

I got car for a month and today I tried Adaptive mode for first time. I was surprised that car feels little bit softer over humps and bad quality city roads, whole car feels even more comfortable and more responsive that in Comfort mode. It is only my imagination or it can be like that? It seems like adaptive mode is the best option for normal daily driving in city.

So my question, does anybody have some experiences with Adaptive mode with M sport adaptive suspension? Do you use it over comfort mode?

Yep... it is my go to mode.... for the reasons you state as well as being responsive when you put the foot down

There have been a few posts on this topic.

Same here. It is nice if you code the car to default to adaptive mode.

I might actually do that. I keep forgetting to try Adaptive!

How can this be coded? I must have read that on 2021 there's no factory setting to program the mode at startup. How were you able to program yours? Sorry if this has been answered on the forum.

The easiest way is to use Bimmercode. You can set the default startup mode.

My detailed write up on driving dynamics ADAPTIVE mode to a thread in G01, adapted from my G05/07 driving experience and technical docs. This should cover the majority of BMW vehicles optioned or equipped with EDC (electronic damper controlled) suspensions such as 2VFAdaptive M and 2VW Adaptive M Pro, and 2VR air.
