20" wheels too agressive?
Looking at a set of flowformed 20" wheels in the following specs.
The rear rims will be poking out an extra 19mm. Will it be too much? Front 20*8.5 ET 35 with 235/35/20 Rear 20*10 ET 40 with 265/30/20 |

I put 10mm spacers on the rear and could have gone a little more but no way 19, way too much, will stick out past the fenders and look silly plus if your car is M-Sport or you plan to lower may rub.

Yeah thats what im thinking, But a 265 would only stick out a extra 5mm on a Et40. On the standard m791, my tires are a good 15mm outside the lip of the rear rims, this will not be the case on a 10" with 265.

Just for reference regarding front strut clearances (they are tight), this is 19x8.5 ET 25 with 245/40/19
So comparing your desired measurements you would be sitting about 20mm ~ horizontal outwards from where my setup is but with the added wheel diameter, it will be even tighter if not hitting the base of the strut. The bottom plate of the strut overhangs the tire about an inch with about a half inch clearance between the tire and the strut Could clear with a spacer I guess, but then your fronts will likely poke out of the fenders. Front Fender profile. |
