Will Honda slay the Prius?

Sure would be nice to have a hybrid that gets Prius fuel economy that isn't quite as dinky. The profile still looks a little blobish, but Honda usually has some interesting styling, that doesn't put you to sleep like Toyota.

I will never figure out why they have to make Hybrids so damn ugly. Honda even feels the need to put the ugliest rims that they make on the Civic hybrid which looks nice otherwise. It's like putting a pair of birkenstocks on their cars just to show they are 'green".

In what way does that not look like the Prius? Being generous, it's like the mutant child of an incenstual relationship between a Prius, a Civic and a Jetta.

Hybrids are a niche market.

Not enough nickel or lithium in the world to make too many of them. The prices of the natural recources are climbing.

It is estimated to cost $5000 to replace the highlander batteries.

Look before you leap.

I just always think it's funny that all the treehuggers are getting hybrids, saying that they are better for the planet when in fact the production process that it takes to build one of these cars is the WORST out of any car for the enviroment.

although tree huggers do purchase hybrids, I think most ppl driving the prius have one b/c the price of gas is so high. They are prob. just driving the car for 2-3 years then flipping it and getting into another.

Waiting for the Chevy Volt. That would be the perfect commuter car for me.

+1 And according to what my roommate said you can't put aftermarket wheels on them either.
