Red Start/Stop Button for M340i
Taking delivery of a M340i at the end of the week. This past weekend I went to take a peek at the M8 and I saw the red start stop button inside the car. It's gotta be the same size as the one inside of the G20, anyone have an OEM part number for the button or know of any aftermarket buttons?

Just to follow up on this. I can find the knock-off version but have yet to find a part number for the OEM one. Would love get my hands on this as it would be a nice touch to compliment my interior. Merino Fiona Red. Beautiful.

BMW hasn't released the red OEM start/stop button for the current models with this set up. The G80, G82, and G83 Ms will have the red start/stop button but the comes with the whole console shift assembly. Which I would love to retrofit into my 330ix M Sport. Has more class and upscale than the current basic version in my G20.

Thanks for the reply! I'm upgrading from the piano black finish to the carbon fiber offerings from BMW. Doing the steering wheel (cf), replacing the black trim and doing the cf paddle shifters. The cherry will be that red start/stop button.

AutoTecknic makes a red one. I just put in a crystal one 10 minutes ago. Super easy install.. They give you sticky clay bar and you attach to stock button and pull fast upward. Took me more time to open the package.

IND has one also: https://ind-distribution.com/collect...rt-stop-button
Judging by their other parts, I would assume this is pretty high quality. |

Shipping from IND to EU was 3x the purchase cost so didn't go for it. Instead found this exact full replacement:

I bought mine from AutoTecknic, looks to be identical to the IND but way less shipping. It was a pain to get the old one out but I love the look of the new red one

No. I read that the IND one comes with putty to remove the old button but mine came with a length of fishing line. I assumed the intention was to fit a loop of the fishing line down around the side of the old button, loop it around, then pull up to remove. I tried a few times without much success, then tried some 3M VHB to glue a dowel to the top of the old button, no success. I persevered with a longer piece of fishing line and it popped out. Fitting the new button was easy. It looks so much better than the old button, all for ~$30, highly recommend.
