thanks for the advice I'll give it another go.
I thought the wiring was for my kick sensor for the trunk and that it was attached to the diffuser
Hmm, they must have fed you that line to get more cash out of you then as 100% the bumper does not need to come off & yes I think the wiring is for the kick opener too.
Honestly you'll have it done in around 20mins

Looks great! The one downside to the carbon splitter is that the details get lost in the shadows.

Done took me a bit longer than 20 min for 2 reasons:
1. I took a while for to realize that it's WAY easier to undo the center bottom tabs before attacking the corners

2. I was so afraid to break anything

anyway here's the result, thanks again for all the tips
Honestly IMO this gloss black bumper/diffuser should standard with the M sport package

WOW really looks amazing on that color - nice work! And equally important I appreciate you sharing how easy it is to install :-) so we can help others.

ps- both your points 1 & 2 are well founded and I think why other forum members may hesitate to do this mod - thanks for sharing it is (to the contrary) easy breezy

My experience was exactly like Chris's. Project complete and the fit and finish of the Ikon is very good. Really appreciate everyone's posts.

I was also going to paint the exhaust trapezoids but instead just cleaned them up with some fine steel wool and they look a lot better.

IMO painting the exhaust tips gloss black would go really nice with your white car and gloss black diffuser

**update**

I went back to gloss black on the center section. While I liked the white center section I started liking it less when I saw this same treatment on a good number of cars - to name a few Range Rover Sport, Nissan Altima, Toyota Corolla, BMW X3....nothing against any of those cars just made me want to go back to black (so I did)

Had to give it a shot though sometimes I get it right sometimes I don't. I agree with you this time it was the latter

I do like that it is something different - and I am tired of looking at all gloss black rear diffusers on my cars- so maybe this will work for me in time. Think I need to do the tips in black (gloss black emblem is on its' way from IND).

That said - for reference here you go :-)
Where did you order that from? I can't find on KON site

If you are specifically looking for a white (or color matched) center I bought the gloss black and then had the center piece painted
