Is Bimmercode working with iDrive version 07/2019.xx

Do you know off hand if the ECUs you listed include any of these options?

Auto start stop memory
Turn signal in HUD
Key FOB trunk open and close
Legal disclaimer off
Seatbelt Tug off

I know this may not fully help, but i looked at a friends 2017 G30, which i imagine would be similar software wise, and the only things you could code off your list is 'Auto start stop memory' and Legal Disclaimer Off'.
I was attempting to do the Boot/Trunk open close for him, but unfortunately it wasn't there, pretty disappointing actually compared to the things i can do on my F36

G30 LCI = G20 in terms of ECU's.
G30 Pre-LCI is not same as G20.

Basically, Bimmercode has very poor coverage on all the G models, no matter their age.

I've been trying to gather everything I need to use Esys But I must be doing something wrong with contacting tokenmaster. I sent him an email to his xx Email address along with proof of a donation to red cross a couple weeks ago but I'm still waiting.. I see a reference on his website that states if his instructions are followed he will send the information necessary to download launcherpro very quickly.

Could you PM me with the correct way to contact talking master?

Thanks

When you email, you get explicit instructions as auto-reply.

If he is busy or getting many requests, then response can be delayed.

I paid for the full version and was able to code a lot of things on my 2018 530i but now own a 2020 M340i but quite a lot of things are either not able to read ECU or have data to code. E-mailed him about updates to ECUs for 2020 models since the demo mode has a whole lot of items listed which appear to be able to code on a 330i but not M340i. They responded by saying to look for updates in the future and nothing else.

Supported adapters

Recently visited the bimmercode website and saw this note under the supported adapters page:

'The latest Vgate devices do not function properly anymore, so these adapters are not recommended any longer. If you buy one of these devices it may or may not work, or even quit working after some time. If you have an older working device, you can continue using it of course.'

Okay, so I have one of these devices and thought that this might be the reason why I am unable to get all of the coding options. So, I went ahead and ordered the OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth and thought maybe this will work. As soon as I got the obdlink I plugged it into the car and boothed up bimmercode on my ipad. Sure enough I ended up getting the same coding options as I did with my Vgate adapter.

What I wanna know is why put a note like above and still not work with the supported adapters?

These are the supposed coding options that they have listed:

Supported coding options
BMW 3 Series
G20, G21 from 2019
Acoustical confirmation
Alarm system
Audio
Auto Start Stop function
Daytime running lights
Display options iDrive system
PDC
Rear view camera
Seatbelt reminder
Video
Warnings

The one's in bold are the only ones I was able to do anything with on my 2020 M340i. My previous 2018 530i was able to code all of the listed items with my Vgate but don't see any updates with the G20s even though they are supported.

Send them a support request, there is a beta version that might fix it

Are you guys putting the car into diag mode before you connect to Bimmercode?

While the car is turned off, don't hold the brake and press the start button 3 times quickly - and within 10 seconds you should see on the dash that the car is in diagnostics mode.

That should give you access to more ECUs.

On my 2020 330i and the latest public version of Bimmercode, diagnostic mode doesn't get me access to additional ECUs, it simply allows me to connect. Mine won't connect at all unless diag. mode is activated.

However as Jbrock said, if you send a support request to the authors they'll send you a link to download a beta version via TestFlight that will give you access to additional ECUs, including 'head unit'. Tonight I was able to successfully code several more options using the beta than are available in the app store version.

Confirmed working on my G20 with beta version of Bimmercode:

ASD disabled
ASS remember last setting enabled
Startup disclaimer disabled
Volume Up/Down Popup disabled
Instrument Cluster Style changed to blue Alpina

Most pleased about removing ASD. Was really grating on my nerves in Sports mode.

Used the Beta today and added the M5 display /HUD as well as video in motion. Only down side is that Sport display went away in the HUD and the map display seems smaller.
