Incentives (better finally)

My lease is up in January. I LOVE my 340i; However the M340i is tempting. I was only being offered $500 in dealer incentives 30 days ago. I received a letter yesterday saying that I am now eligible for $3,500 on a new 2021 M340i.

Anyone receive anything similar?

BMW incentives only change every month. And for September the incentives, even with loyalty, are nowhere near $3500. Can you share this letter? It might be a typical dealer letter that conflates dealer discount with factory rebate. I highly doubt BMW has changed the incentives mid-month.

I'll share later when I get a moment. Working 12-13 hour days with real estate these days!

The preferred customer bonus is just a dealer discount. Incentives are still the same.

I think the lease-to-lease is higher. Isn't it $500 currently.

You currently have $500 straight loyalty and an additional $500 if a current BMW lessee. They can stack. That's where the $1000 comes from in the letter.

Only 18 dollars more a month haha. What would your new payment be ? Maybe find out the MSRP of the m340i and decide from there. Lots to compare to on the forum here on pricing.

MY2021 programs aren’t anything special, MY2020 is better but if you have four paymentS left (there is no official BMW pull-ahead) it’s better to wait.

If it was me, I’d wait until next month and order a car. You’ll have the program lock and also can use any newer programs if/when they get better.

Order time is 8-10 weeks on the M340, let me know if you want help with that

I think I'll wait until I get my winter tires on later in October. There is a chance if the residual is right, I may keep my current car. The dealer hinted at a residual adjustment.

Send me a PM. I'm open to hearing what you have to offer.

I got the same letter.

I'm trying to understand where my remaining 8 lease payment go with this offer.

Is it an actual pull ahead and BMW corporate is eating it? In which case the dealer needs to bring a 'real' discount to the table.

Or is the low dealer discount because they are eating it and offering me much less in cash?

I'm interested in changing cars.....but only if somebody else is paying my remaining lease and I will not give up any dealer discount.

As far as I know, there is currently no BMW corporate pull ahead. Again, these types of incentives come and go at month's end and there has been no news of a pull ahead program in September. If I had to guess, my assumption would be that the dealer is burying those 8 payments in your new lease payments. I would continue with your current lease.

BMWNA is 500$ loyalty. BMWFS lets you lock in programs/rebates 60 days east coast dealers and 90 days west coast dealers.

best way to get info on any potential pull aheads etc.. just give your sales rep your vin/current miles and they will be able to let you know what all your situation qualifies for.

dealers sometimes offer "dealer" rebates, those are just discounts off price from MSRP. Just make sure that like all deals you get the full breakdown of the deal. Especially on lease as the MF can be marked up which sucks up your discount.

Happy Hunting!
