Upon further review, it looks like it applies to currently manufactured vehicles (330e's) as well. The VIN tracker at BMW's German site translated as follows:
There is an open technical improvement on this vehicle. Please book an appointment online for your vehicle here by selecting "Service on demand" or contact your local BMW service partner here for more information. Callback codes: STOP024307, 0065960300 WOMP WOMP! |

When I spoke to the Genius last week they noted that the stop sale was lifted for everyone else except for us lucky ones awaiting the 330e. Also said it's purely a software update and being worked on, but still no timeline. Then I asked my SA about it and he told me that he thought the fix was ready and it wouldn't cause any delays, but that contradicts everything else we've been hearing.
My question now is what the hell is the *0065960300* that has been added to the German tracker? I thought it was just STOP024307 the last I checked? |

Quick software update will fix this issue and the moment it gets released, we can possibly pick up the same day. Same issue but they are taking a while to address it, possibly cause of the new ID8

This tool? https://bmw-recall-tool.netlify.app/ looks like this reflects the "stop sale has been upgraded to Non-compliance recall". Not sure what does the Non-compliance recall mean for bmw. |

Maybe the following is just wishful thinking on my part...
But maybe the "upgrade" to a "recall" is good news... because it means they are closer to a fix. Previously, they weren't recalling cars that had already been sold because they couldn't fix them. Maybe they are ready to start issuing notices to people who already took delivery to bring their cars back and get the software patch. (Or maybe it's just wishful thinking.) |

Removing the stop sale but keeping the "technical improvement" makes me wonder if those are open Work orders they now just need to clear by doing the update.
I'm at least hopefully we should see some of these removed in the coming days. |

I hope that its more that there is a fix now - I would be thrilled if the cars on the Grand Legacy are able to leave Oxnard after getting dropped off rather than waiting at their site until a fix happens. |
