Anyways...

I have a problem right now, I'm talking to a dealer for a $67,525 cost build. However I think they are talking full MSRP and I don't know how to transition the discussion towards asking for a discount off MSRP.
Your right, did not know davit gray was individual color, fully speced cost was 69825, sorry. $70k for a 3-series IMO is a lot of money. I have looked at my local dealers site and they have 26 3-series with the majority being the 330i. 3-series has become out of reach for a lot of people unless they get a 330i with few options.

I have say, the M340i is a great car, interior, exterior, everything about it. Im glad I still have my 2017 m2 (4.5k miles) and 2004 m3 (18k miles). Both are garage queens but I do drive them on clear days

I finally bought mine. Picking up Thursday!

I got the following deal:
- 10% off MSRP
- Loyalty, Lease Credit, and Drive for a Cause rebates
- .00165 Money Factor

I think I was able to get this deal, most likely, because they wanted to move a car off their lot before end of month. Seems easier to negotiate with on-the-lot cars vs orders.

This might have already been said, but here's my method. Shop around by emailing and getting best offers from a few dealers, then decide on your number (before incentives) and send that to all dealers you are in touch with. If you have a preferred dealer just work with them. As long as your number is within the realm of reality (look at deals people are getting here), they should work with you on getting there, or at least close. If they don't, just walk away for a while. Factor in your timing. Dealers want to sell cars end of quarter months. Like June. One thing to note, theoretically custom order cars have same pricing as lot cars, but as someone above mentioned, sometimes dealers do cut more breaks on cars they want to move out of their inventory. BUT, don't let that discourage you from asking for the same prices on order cars. Some (good) dealers want to gain customers for the long term, and regardless of how much they might discount, they will still make money on the deal. Just try to be the guy (or girl) they make a little less off, vs the person that walks in after you and pays MSRP.

Don't negotiate on monthly payments. Don't mention a trade in until the end after you have your selling price. When you get to financing, just tell them the base MF and residuals (you can get this info easily from edmunds forums), and tell them you won't pay a mark up on the MF. most dealers will be impressed you know what a MF is and will realize they can't swindle you there.

I'm sure a lot of this is obvious, but maybe it'll be helpful to someone.

I had a really good experience with Herb Chambers in Boston without a lot of BS.

PS: If anyone's looking for a good person to contact you can send me a DM. I don't want to look like I'm shilling but I had a fairly positive experience.

Will PM when this post upgrades my account too, but any way to get Daniel's email contact? I've seen you reference him in a couple threads and am interested in working with him.

You can definitely get 10% off MRSP. I recently got a full loaded 330i xDrive with 10% MSRP + $4500 incentives. Like above poster, did MSDs x 7. If you're looking for a great deal an M340i I'd recommend LeaseHackr forums. They'll help you negotiate.

@darknemis & @whzup44 were they custom build or dealership inventory? 10 to 12 percent off is so high that's almost evens out the 13 percent sales tax here..

I was able to get slightly above 11% off before incentives pretty easily in the NYC area by just shopping around.

Considering purchasing (not leasing) a minimally optioned 2020 330i Sport Line, in Dallas Texas.
Any idea what percent off MSRP (before incentives) I should realistically be aiming for?
As currently optioned the MSRP is $41,450.

Thanks for any input

At $41,150 you are definitely not getting the M-Sport. The M package is 5k alone so if I were you I'd double check. Also, try to get a 2019 if you want a better deal since the 2019 and 2020 literally have no difference from what I've seen.

Looking to get into this build that my local BMW has in stock. This one fits nearly perfect with the options I'd get, barring the few accessories which are meaningless to me (wireless charger, phone cables, first aid kit).

The dealer has basically said their bottom line would be 58,400 which is only 6.5% off MSRP, however I'd also be getting $4500 in rebates as well. I know its not the best possible deal, but curious what you guys think?

I would go to a different dealer with this same build. If you're in the Chicagoland area you should easily be able to get 10% off before rebates.
