Has anyone else had an issues ordering Dravit Gray in the USA for the M340i? Dealer got allocation for my order, but cannot order dravit gray as the color.

I'm waiting on an allocation for a Dravit M340i as well, but don't even have an allocation yet.

I'm not sure how allocations work but could it be that they are out of the "Dravit" color allocations? Or at least individual color allocations?

I told him i was fine waiting longer, but he said they dont have the option anymore even though its showing up on the website still. How long have you been waiting, i send them my build code last week, but they said the factory just opened up this week so i had to wait

See if they can order another BMW model in Dravit. If they can't, it's obviously an issue with the paint supply (can't see how that happens but whatever). If they can, it's a production allocation of individual paint selected vehicles that's the issue.

I have been waiting 2 weeks. I have a feeling once I get an allocation the same thing will happen that they just told you. I'll update when they let me know that my allocation is in and let you know what they say.

Thanks!

I ordered in October, production began a month later, and took delivery on the 5th. Dealer told me there's a specific plant that deals with dravit gray which is why I had to wait a month to get a slot.

I had been looking at alpine white and production would have been like 3 days after I ordered had I gone that route.

not sure if BS or real, but it's what they told me

Individual colors are done in batches which is less disruptive. That's why some customers wait one week and others can wait much longer.

It's doubtful that the supplier (BASF?) cannot provide the paint. The reason could be much simpler - insufficient number of orders to schedule a batch of cars to be built and painted. It's more profitable to keep building cars with standard colors.

I'm sure there is a million possibilities, but profits would be ny top guess too. I'm happy I got it when I did

Dealer stated they cannot order Dravit for any vehicles when they tried. This seems to match up with another thread from Canada as well.

I just got my allocation today for Dravit / Cognac and the Status is 112 (Scheduled for daily production pack). So far it seems to be going through. Did you get this far before the dealer kicked it back?

So i got told it was submitted with TBII color and everything seemed to be okay, but then got told it was rejected by BMW and they're not accepting any individual colors. Maybe its a regional thing

South east. I thought the blue was all good. I might just wait this out at this point.

I'm in the north east, just double checked with my dealer. It must be a regional thing because I'm all good to go.

dravit is not an individual.... it's a semi individual as it is offered as one of the color options on their website but costs more.... Could it just be that they dont have an allocation and are blaming it on the color?

Were your orders placed before the new year or after? I didn't place an order until after the new year. I ask because i had a second dealer tell me the same thing.

I just placed an order after the new year (jan 3rd). Dealer secured an allocation on Jan 17th and the car is scheduled for week 7 production (feb 10th). It's a pretty much loaded dravit / cognac combo. Good luck on your search! It really seems like mine just went through so I doubt it's an issue on BMWs side...
