#17 in the queue. Should be fulfilled by the batch that is currently in the production queue. As noted previously (11/1) raw materials are at least around but there are a number of sub-assembly steps that need to take place before final weldment. I have no direct visibility on where sub-assembly processes are but it appears there are still a number of them to do as they are still showing zero quantities for the next level up in the BOM report.

Should be sooner I would think. Holidays are always a bit messy for timelines but even so.

Dinan_Engineering Placed my order for the exhaust on 11/24/21 (Order #19708) and it shows still processing and hasn't taken the money out of my account yet. Just curious if there's an issue payment-wise on my side or if it stays processing until it is ready to ship out then charged to my account.

Going. No finished goods have left but the majority of the sub-assemblies at least appear to be completed.

Orders placed through the website typically draw funds right away (CC authorization fund hold, Payal actually charged) but perhaps that has changed recently where the CC charges don't actually occur until the item is shipped like a phone order would. Or maybe the system is just backed up. Whatever the reason, that order is live in the system so you are golden as far as I can tell.

What is current lead time looking like for these systems? Just picked up a new 2022 M340i and it seems the Dinan systems are the best out.

I strongly recommend you pre-order as Dinan shipments are getting sold out before they even arrive

At this point I dont even expect my October order to be here by then. I'd say around a 3 month lead time is more realistic.

I had a 5 month turnaround time. Shipping was quick once it got going (UPS putting in work). Well worth it, imo. But just so you have a realistic idea of what to expect post-purchase.

Today marks exactly 5 months since I placed my order. I only ordered because the expected delivery date on the website showed as two weeks later. Lol. Since then, I've been strung along month by month. Delay this, delay that. Whatever, I'm still waiting. I've been #3 on the list for a month now.

Snagged some clips of the exhaust in action last week (meant to be the "before" part of a larger AA downpipe video). Really tried to get in cabin sound represented as it's super easy to find clips of the sound outside of the car. Enjoy!

My AWE exhaust arrived about 2 weeks after I ordered because I got a lucky break.

I actually have the awe touring exhaust non resonated on the car. I was literally going crazy waiting for the dinan so I went as far as driving 8 hours to pick up the awe.

Honestly it's way too loud for my liking and I really can't wait to take it off.

^ Hmmm, I see. I believe I read that you replaced your downpipe, right?

Mine is stock, so I'm guessing mine won't be so intense. Higher flow cats + higher flow catback is a mix that can often be very loud.

Yes. I do have an AA downpipe. I did reach out to AWE and they were willing to sell me the resonated sections for a discounted price. Lol they were also a few months out.

I did put the stock dp back on the car and it was definitely not as loud, but still pretty loud. I really do think these cars are best suited with a valved exhaust.

Thanks for the input. I would agree based on what I have seen. I have the AA downpipe too and am on the fence with an exhaust. One thing I do know is I want one that's valved. If only AA would post a video of their exhaust on a 2021….

It is definitely a bit loud with cold start, and appropriately loud at high RPMs, but it sounds great! It’s definitely not too loud. It’s totally perfect for me, I love it!!!!!

That's great. I would just recommend making sure everything is super tight. I found one of the pipes rubbing on my inner cv boot after the bracket holding the two mufflers lost a screw. I had to buy new hex head screws and I put them in with loctite and nylon nuts

I have that same exhaust, only with an aftermarket DP.
