Ppl with valvetronic exhaust - electrical question

Where do you guys have your system plugged into? I'm trying to see if I were to hardwire it to an 12v port instead of the battery, if it would open the valves when I get into the car vs pressing the remote each time

Hi

I have had the system installed by a shop and decided to use the 12 volt in the trunk simply. No hardwire anything.
Works fine since installed 6 months ago -

How does the valves operate for you? Do they open automatically or you need to click the remote each time

I use the remote everytime, it retains the last position you selected

But I close it manually every single time since the cold start with the valve open combined to the high flow cat wake up the whole neighborhood 😁

I just plugged mine into the trunks 12v. No need to hardwire anything, straight plug and play.

Have to say I’m a little disappointed in this exhaust though. I think it’s honestly just too quiet for me but I havent gotten a downpipe yet.

Any of yall have the valvetronic with downpipe? Is it much louder than just the exhaust by itself? (Hoping it is)

The stock exhaust is not that restrictive so if you just changed out the exhaust, it’s not going to be that much louder. You need a downpipe as well to really increase the volume. I have the Valvemaster titanium exhaust with the AA downpipe, it’s plenty loud. If you want it even louder, go catless.

Mine is plugged into the outlet in the trunk and I use the key fob. Super simple and works great.

I used the 12v power in the trunk as well. Positioned the valve control box in the bottom of that cubby using the packing material it came in. Holds it nicely in place

Valves stay in the position you leave them in. When you unlock the car it powers the box to re-close the valves (if left open they stay open)
