You take MSRP and multiply by 5% gives you the dealer hold back. For example you will get a car with a MSRP of $65,000 has an additional $3,250 of hold back.

How to get below invoice

MSRP $65,000
Invoice $59,735
Hold back $3,250
True cost to dealer before training fee and such $56,485

There is training fee $180.00 to add back for total dead cost $56,665

So at 10% off the dealer still makes $2,015 on the car.
So in summary, assuming dealer has lots of/spare allocations, 10% off MSRP before incentives is fair (?)

Would you mind providing me invoice for below two builds?

Thank you!

I'm plugging your numbers in a lease calculator and getting under $800. I know these apps aren't always spot on, but I still don't see $900+ with 3k down. And that's assuming you pay full MSRP. Another thing to consider other than looking at other models is to just get one that's not spec'd out so high. Blows my mind that people needs all these bells and whistles on and end up building a $62k 340i. Me...all I need is the 19" 792M's, the ambient lighting and that's it. $55.4 k msrp.

Out here there are no dealers willing to go that low. Given all the techno-riche customers willing to pay MSRP, the dealers have an attitude of "better to wait for the next sucker" than to undermine their price.

There are three BMW dealers in the region and they simply know that they don't have to compete too hard. I looked at pricing on a new M550 in Canada and was very tempted to buy there - it would have saved me nearly $8000 allowing for the negotiation, currency rate, and factoring in transportation, until I found out that US dealerships in the NW will not honor Canadian BMW warranties.

It's right around a $4500 dollar discount on the car and then the $3k in incentives on top of that. I'm happy with $7500 off a car that just came out.

Thanks much for the information!
I'm a total BMW rookie (both car and this forum) and trying to catch up with all the valuable info here.

I have my eyes on the M340i and would like to know if any california users can recommend any good dealers in so cal. You can PM me if it's more convenient.

Thanks!

There actually were quite a few deals over the past few weeks. Saw a couple F30 340 deals with an effective monthly of less than $300 on a 2 year lease. Depends on whether or not you're okay with driving "yesterday's news" for 2 years...

Make sure you understand import fees before thinking about buying any cars in Canada.

Seattle area is the WORST for decent prices on luxury car brands. I've gone to Oregon for two Audis and if I buy new again I won't hesitate to travel. Seattle sucks.

In MD you have to pay the sales tax (6%) on a lease upfront. I think that is one of the reasons why my payment is higher. The discount he gave me on MSRP was just $500, which is laughable. Plus I bet the money factor was also high.

West lake BMW (OH). Barely budged in a 68k tanzanite blue loaded m340. Managed to get 1k off sticker!

Hopefully my local dealer comes thru with pricing. Might have to go to dark side (Audi)!

Try going through their internet department. Send them the deal you want and then go from there. Always work the best for me.
