Currently waiting on 2022 M340i that had been held at VPC, just received notice that the work order was started on 1/5 and was scheduled to be complete by 1/8. Need to check with the CA to see if things have moved along, but am hopeful to have the car in the next few weeks.

When did the car get to the VPC?

I'm not sure. I purchased a dealer allocation, not a custom order. I do know the production date was 12/13/21.

Mine was built around the same time and arrived at the VDC on 1/5

Edit: to clarify mine is a M340 built at the Mexico plant.

My 440CV production date was 4 days after yours (12/17/21) and I'm still sitting in the factory parking lot....

This whole process is sooo hard to figure out...

M340i arrived at the Oxnard VDC on 12/20 and work order put in for the stop sales on 12/22. Just sitting there for now. Nobody has a scheduled/estimated delivery date.

Waiting for RAM.

My car is sitting at the Charleston port waiting a RAM fix. It was supposed to leave on the 7th, but now no tentative date. Sounds like there's a serious shortage with all these cars just chilling in ports and VPCs. If this wait goes into February I might have to back out of the deal. This car was always going to be a very short term "rental" for me before swapping the lease—any longer of a wait and it *really* makes no financial sense to get into this car.

Waiting for RAM.
The M440i I ordered also arrived there on 12/25/2021 and work order issued 1/4/2022. It’s just sitting there waiting for 0065480300 (RAM), 0065600300 (amplifier), and 0065640300 (no description but likely software update for deleted touchscreen.) No available estimate of work order completion.

m440i coupe at baltimore port since 12/13. About to be almost 5 weeks. Someone on the g80 forum said that the baltimore port hasn’t received any chips in over a month😬

I've got a 330e that's also been sitting at Baltimore since 12/17. Original delivery date was 12/24 and was told it would "For sure be here before the end of the year"...two weeks into the new year and no end in sight. Dealer has at least been pretty transparent about everything though which I appreciate but still...this last leg has been killing me.

What has the dealer told you about the situation? Mine has said nothing and it’s been at the VPC since mid-October. Hopefully yours knows something more.

Which stop sale and which VPC is your car at? October - that's atrocious and doesn't give any of the rest of us December people any hope.

The interesting thing about the no-description code is that my car is supposed to have the touchscreen delete but does not have that code listed, only RAM. It does have the HK audio system.

It’s the RAM stop sale and a software update. The vehicle went into production end of august and arrived in Baltimore early October. Work has been open since 10/15 (the software update stop sale is relatively new). I did purchase the car end of November (dealer allocation m340) so only thought as to why it wasn’t prioritized previously?

They've just been open about not knowing when it might happen. Guy i've been working with there has had a car for himself there since October. Said it could be any day, could still be a few weeks. He's been trying to get in touch with folks from BMW out there at the port but hasn't had any success hearing anything back.

Current open issues are 0065480300 and 0065640300 which are RAM and I believe reprogramming for touchscreen deletion respectfully.

Prod date was 11/24 got to port on 12/15 or 12/17 (exact date is up for debate) so we're coming right up on a month being there.

Still waiting

Still waiting for my M440i that was ordered at the end of June. As noted in a prior post, it originally shipped October 13 (bound for Halifax). A week later I was advised that it was back at the port for RAM module replacements. My dealer said it appeared that BMW discovered a problem with the modules and actually recalled the ship so they could fix in Germany. After almost 3 months of no change in status, I was told last week that the car is now showing as enroute to Halifax. Fingers crossed! With my luck, it will hit a damn iceberg off the coast of Newfoundland and join the Titanic!

OMG! That's is a seriously LONG wait. I think I'd be wanting to lose my mind! I really hope it gets to you soon.

My order just got scheduled for production and I'm already impatient for the status to change. Ha ha. 🤷🏼*♀️
