I don't think so, parking brake symbol is still on in the dash after that.

I don’t think any of the reviews state that the new cars feel heavier. Larger and wider but with more grip and as eager or more to turn in. That is promising indeed.

Watch the guy once for few minutes and gave up, and all I had in mind was how this new media brought up some characters.
Hunting for likes and followers doesn't make you an enthusiast...

Lol I find if you mute the video long enough to avoid that cringeworthy "hey guys I'm Shmeeeeee", it's not so bad

Interesting initial thoughts. And he made hopeful comments on the steering which I was wishing he’d expand upon

If by knowledgeable you mean, can read a brochure / spec sheet or tell you how a car looks vs prior gen... then sure.

If you mean actually telling us how the car drives and feels which is the most important part of a review; then no. Note, he also rarely if ever says anything negative about a car... because he is a follower / likes /views chaser not necessarily a true enthusiast.

He is doing something right, he is always first on the new cars. I heard him interviewed once and he was really very likable, smart, humble, the tone he was talking in was slightly different from the one used in his vids and more preferable, IMO, but I was definitely more inclined to watch his videos after.

I would classify that information as deliberately misleading. To be frank, they don't have clue one about BMW's future plans - they are completely out of the loop.

If there's an M4 Gran Coupe coming at some point, expect reliable insiders to reveal that. Autocar is toiler paper.
Autocar continued to post renders of the G80/G82 with small "G20-like" grills for months after leaked photos showed the car would look drastically different than the base 3 series. Deliberately misleading is right.

You're probably right, modern BMW manuals are so intuitive to drive; it rev-matches, the clutch is butter soft, it barely stalls and even when it does, the Auto Start/Stop automatically fires it back up.. Its amazing automatic..

BMW is doing God's work by still keeping a bonafide manual transmission alive, with today's niche market and their tendency to cut-cost, at every turn.. *Cough* ✌🏻DCT*Cough

They obviously outsourced the exterior designing to the Devil

I'm hoping for them not just saying this while holding the rev up to 5k rpm at the track where the test took place.
No offense, but why do you get a track-focused car as a daily commuter? Of course BMW will try to optimize the engine for high-performance.

If you need low-end torque, get the Alpina B3, they specifically engineered the S58 to have loads of it (50NM more than the G80, to be precise).

I don't consider the M3/4 a track focused car, that's more Porsche GT's expertise. While these cars are trackable, the M3/4 are more street cars first, track second if anything since the E36.

True but still more track focused than just about any other sedan... except that crazy jag that's almost 3x the price....

I actually like Schmee's videos (content-wise). He's usually early with news and his car collection is top-notch. I must admit I do fast fwd past his annoying & whiney intro "Hello, it's Schhhhmeeee, how are you?" Other than that, good stuff.(He makes a million/year doing this too).
