Stuck in "Ready for transport" [2023 BMW 330i xdrive (Tanzanite blue metallic)]

When I spoke to genius, it was produced in Mexico and the actual production date was on April 19th, 2023. Since then it got stuck in "Ready for transport". This was ordered in Illinois (Bill Jacobs). Can anyone help me figure this out, also is anyone in the same situation as me?

brucew4yn3 this is normal.

Cars coming out of Mexico are taking 2ish months from when it was produced to get to your dealer. Sometimes even more.

OMG, I've already been waiting for almost 2.5 to 3 months.

I placed my order at Bill Jacobs in November and am still waiting

As someone who just went through this, I advise you to just be patient during ready for transport. (I understand this is easier said than done.) I can almost guarantee you it’s sitting at the port waiting for a ship and just hasn’t updated.

It's kind of insane how it's faster to get a vehicle delivered halfway across the world from Germany than it is from Mexico.

Went through this recently. Ordered from a dealer in north suburban Chicago. Ordered on January 31, February allocation. It was built in Mexico and hit the Ready for Transport phase (as in waiting for a ship in
Mexico) about March 6. From there it was all sorts of waiting. Finally took delivery at dealer on April 28. So that was basically 3 full months. Not great but not horrible. By far the longest parts were Ready for Transport and In Transit.

I bought an already in the pipeline M340i. It went to Ready for Transport on May 18 and that is where it is today.
