Code 360° Camera to Default "Auto Mode"

Is it possible to code the 360° camera default setting to "Auto Mode" when reversing?

My car used to do this until I had a software update to address a recall. I'm hoping there's a way to code it back using BimmerCode.

I like how the camera pans when turning steering wheel, however, I do not like the fact I have to now push the little camera with an "A" next to it every time. See attached for a photo of the Auto Camera selected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What software version are you on? Mine still works as you initially describe. I’m on 11/2019.

Mine is the same as CyclingBroStyle since my software update to 7/2019. It used to automatically switch to the front camera when I would be in drive after triggering the camera to start by placing car in reverse. I think if you hit the camera button before your car is in reverse it will be the auto camera. Either way it’s worse than when I was on 3/2019.

Agreed! My car came with 11/2019 as standard so I never got to enjoy the system, but it makes so much sense. Would be awesome if the option is still int here but coded off.

They did this in the X5 forums.

I don't have E-sys so I can't test it but it might be the same code. My NA Car software 3/2020 still has the issue.

Darn it has been so long and BMW never corrected this. I guess they want it that way for legal reasons or to meet some obscure DOT legislation wrt backup cameras.

I looked at the linked thread for X5 forums and they have been somewhat (and mysteriously) successful at coding it through ESYS. No BimmerCode options yet. Ugh. I really dislike the current need to click the auto camera button every time.
