Some pretty good up close videos of the new G22 4er. First one has full M Performance Parts installed. Looks awesome I must say!

All of the press pictures seem to have the front license plate installed. That, combined with Domagoj Dukec's comments about wanting to achieve the symmetry of the centered plate mounting make me think that the grille design was largely driven by the appearance after mounting the plate.

I (thankfully) live in a jurisdiction that does not require front plates. Without one, the grille, I think, is more obvious and glaring. For better or worse, it's what drove me to the M340i instead of going back to the coupe I was accustomed to with my e92.

Is there a listing of M Performance parts available for order with a build? And, prices? They don’t show up in the G22 pricing guide.

No this is the marketing dept saying "wtf is that? Quick cover it up. Put a number plate over it or something."

Dare I say it's growing on me. The side profile looks good. The front 3/4 actually looks mighty aggressive. I think this will grow on a lot of fans and unfortunately if you're BMW enthusiast, you're going to have to get used to the new look.

With the M performance parts, the rear looks very nice. I'll try to remain optimistic about this new 4. One thing I felt while watching the video, is it made the F3X design look very old. Clearly the designers were going for revolutionary as opposed to evolutionary.

Just bugs me a lot because a front end like the 340 would've been so nice with those headlights and big air intakes on the side. A proper kidney with a big open mouth bottom like the f30/32 would've been great.

I'm not a fan of that black door stripe. I didn't like it black stripe on the F3X either.

I dunno, it's probably my least favorite of all the parts in that video but it doesn't look horrendous. I'm interested to see all these on a Tanzanite Blue M440....

Seriously, what are they thinking with those canards? They look worse than something Pep Boys would carry.
