My G20 is equipped with Laser Lights. While driving down the road with automatic high beams, I cannot sense the change over to laser at 39 mph. I expected that the high beams would switch color (more white) or become significantly brighter than the LED's. Does anyone else have Laser Lights? Can you tell the difference? Is there a way the car can let the driver know which lights it is using?

I'm having trouble seeing the difference or even knowing if they are being used too.

I was driving down a pitch black road over 50 mph when the auto high beams turned on. I then turned it off then switched the high beams on manually and they looked the same. So either the lasers also come on with you manually turn on the high beams or for some reason the lasers didn't come on.

Put a GoPro camera on the front bumper to film the lights from the side. That way You can observe the lights work.

I have the Laser Light function and it is to turn the high beams on/off based on conditions. The Laser Light equipped cars have brighter high beams than those without and the low beams are the same as non Laser Light equipped..

I too no difference whatsoever so ever between 5 mph and 50 mph. I think they are supposed to active at around 37 mph but too looks the same to me.

I had a similar result. Did a test (similar to one of yours from the other thread) with auto highbeams. Very bright, but didn't see a difference between 30 mph and 45 mph, so I don't know if it was the regular or laser highbeams.

There is a big and noticeable difference on my M340i when the laser lights come on. But you must have lights set to Auto, and High Beam assistance turned on for them to work. They wont activate in well lit areas so best to find a nice quiet country road to test them out.

Yep, those were the test conditions.

To be clear, the difference between low beams and high beams was very noticeable. But I'm speaking of seeing the difference between regular LED high beams vs. laser high beams in vehicles equipped as such.

Right. High beams are very bright but there is no difference in that brightness no matter the speed despite the manual saying that it should be above 37 mph when the lazers supposedly activate.

You should notice that the light from the LED high beams is more diffuse compared to the lasers. When the lasers are on there appears to be a higher concentration of light directly in front of the car.
