Just noticed this problem and wondered if anyone else has come across it. I have ID7 and am referring to the built in Spotify. I'm sure it never used to do this.

Spotify correctly shows in the top menu that I have 29 playlists but when I go in and scroll down the list after the first 19 they start repeating so 10 are missing. I have logged in and out in the car and I have also deleted and recovered all the playlists online and the problem still persists.

I find the Spotify client broken in many ways. Playlists very broken, but also things like audiobooks often don’t work.

Spotify on idrive is a hot mess (much like the rest of it). If you want it to work properly you'll probably have to use carplay or android auto.

Yup! I finally got the BMW Amazon Alexa app to work, only to then reaslise that in order for it to work, I have to have my Android phone connected to the cars Wi-Fi, or it stops working!

My Amazon Alexa account is linked to my BMW Connect Drive account, The Alexa skill is enabled, the car has an eSIM, why on earth does the car need to be connected to my phone for the bloody app to work!

Agree the built in Spotify has a mind of its own but still preferable to the sound quality of CarPlay. ID8 is much improved but still can be erratic. I just work around its foibles.
